No VAT shown on invoices - now just packing slips

Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone else is having the same issue; when we print our 'invoices' on the seller hub, it now only produces 'packing slips'.  We can't find a way of producing an 'invoice' to include the VAT amount for the customer.

As we state on our listings "I provide invoices with VAT separately displayed",  I am not sure how we can do this, if eBay have removed the option to show the VAT amount?

Is it just a blip on our account?

Why can`t the customer download an invoice for thier records ?

This would save time money and paper.

Have you also entered the applicable VAT rate into each listing? You need to enter your VAT inclusive price in the "Price" box and the applicable rate in the "VAT (optional)" box. eBay uses this information to calculate the breakdown:

Thats not a VAT invoice .

A VAt invoice must show the cost and the separate VAT amount and the total.

It also has to include the VAT number .!!!!!!!!!1

I know it isn't; it's a screenshot of where to set the applicable VAT rate in the listing template...

I just bought items from UK shipped to DK, got invoice without vat calculation! 

Last time i bought the same item it showed VAT!?

How to get the correct invoice?

Hi Uno,

If you purchased items off eBay, VAT should be included, as they collect VAT via the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop)  EU scheme.

However, if you did not purchase items through eBay, you will not have been charged VAT by the UK company,  as the goods being shipped are classed as 'zero rated' T0.
(FYI: UK companies cannot register for the IOSS scheme unless they have EU representation).

Usually the customs import VAT is collected by the shipping company/courier and they issue a VAT invoice.

Hello

when creating your listing there is a box which asks about vat and you will
need to add in the percentage amount for what item your selling

Once that has been done you will see a break of vat on the packing slip /
invoice

Yes, I know that, but this box is greyed out and won’t let me click or edit the VAT details. As you can see in the picture, it’s disabled. I’ve never had this option available before

As we have a legal obligation to provide these invoices,  i would not be surprised if ebay see it as an opportunity to monetize the production of an invoice.  If you have to produce one legally, pay for it.  that will be their attitude
