Senior Conservatives have denied that having a druggy past should be a barrier to becoming the next Prime Minister.
“We don’t really have much option,” says Party Vice-Chairman Ebeneezer Goode.”It seems most of the leading candidates were off their nuts during the 80s and 90, and to be fair, you’d have to be off your head on something to want this job.”

A criminal , a liar, a thief and hypocrite is running for PM. What more could go wrong with brexit I wonder if he succeeds .
Just so none of the usual suspects cry fowl- acht we all did it once.No we did not!
There is no statue of limitations in UK for crimes. He is a criminal and should be arrested and put in jail.No need for a lengthy trail.

Why no need for a lengthy trial?
Let’s say he was arrested and put on trial it would be up to the prosecution to prove he had committed an offence - something that would be virtually impossible.

Should Nicola Sturgeon also be prosecuted having admitted to drug taking whilst at university?

Why waste tax payers money? Trial should be short. Virtually impossible- you're kidding right? He's already admitted his guilt on national tv and in the papers.
Next?

You forgot to mention the rest of them-no shocks there.
Nicola Sturgeon replied: "Once, possibly at this university although not in this union - and it made me awful sick."
Willie Rennie said: "Yes, in my youthful days."
Ruth Davidson added: "I'm with Nicola - once or twice. It made me feel really sick."
Jim Murphy said he "couldn't remember" but commented: "In the housing scheme that I lived in, glue sniffing was the thing. It was just a working class thing to do - sniffing glue out of crisp pokes."
While Willie Rennie called for a "decent" debate on drugs policy, the three other party leaders said they were opposed to the legalisation of cannabis.
Gove took a class 'A' drug which is illegal as did a few others.
Also didn't stop him doing this

I know that there are differences between Scottish law and the rest of the UK but guilt still has to be proven - and in both jurisdictions the accused has a right to silence.
How could you prove possession of a Class A drug without corroboration of a hearsay confession? Even if you could find a witness to give evidence how do you prove it was cocaine that had been used?
Reports of a claim by someone that they have done something is not proof that they have. I could claim to have climbed Everest but without corroborating evidence that would hardly be proof beyond a reasonable doubt that I actually had!

Anything I can find via Google says that the rules regarding teachers and drugs was in existence before Gove was appointed Secretary of State for Education.
Jolly good rule too - wouldn’t want Gove teaching kids!
