Never in a way you brexiters thought it would. All the chamelons have been exposed, tight majority vote.Country and goverment in chaos.
It's the money men that will decide as always! What made you think they'd let the people decide-never have done in centuries!

All you say is perfectly correct - it’s just not truly democratic.
11-02-2019 1:41 PM
It’s probably as near to being democratic as you can get wIthout being in some constant stalemate where no decision is definitive and moving forwards in any direction is blocked at every juncture.

The health minister Stephen Hammond has written to a Tory MP to provide assurance to one of the MP’s constituents that the NHS is stockpiling bodybags as insurance against a no-deal Brexit. This is not a joke.

We've got that great so-called trade with the US to look forward to. Maybe the body bags are required for the following.

It's not been widely publicised but it seems Toenee B-liar has been secretly colluding with French President Macron over the Brexit issue!! That sounds a bit like treason to me?

The offered deal was voted against. Vote tomorrow on leaving without a deal.

So what’s it going to be, another referendum or another General Election?
I can’t see Parliament agreeing to a ‘no deal’ exit which only leaves one or the other of the above.

The country voted to LEAVE. The MPs should be made to stick to that not try to alter things to suit themselves.
Also, they should stick to the process in hnd not pursue their own backstabbing agendas.
I'm sure Theresa May will be heartily sick of the whole thing before it's done and she'll be glad when she's no longer PM.
David Cameron must be thanking his lucky stars he decided to quit when he did instead of hving to put up with the things that she has.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Anyhow an extension is a cert- 2 year +

I thought that one of the ‘leave’ arguments was that doing so would make Parliament ‘sovereign’.
How does that marry with the idea that Parliament should be forced to carry out a particular course of action?
If a ‘no deal’ exit is ruled out, as I expect it will, then what is the point of an extension if not to hold either a second referendum or a General Election. The current makeup of Parliament does not include a majority for any of the options on the table which leaves either a General Election, with the parties making clear their preferences thus giving a new government a mandate, or a referendum which gives a clear choice for Parliament to follow.
An extension has to be agreed to unanimously by the EU27 and I expect there to be ‘penalties’ attached to any agreement and will make the upcoming European elections interesting!
