policy violation

Hi one of my items for sale has been flagged up as violating policy  : Your listing didn't follow our Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay policy. Offering to buy or sell outside of eBay, including sharing direct contact information prior to an eBay purchase, is not allowed.

best I can figure , I put a link in the description to a review of the item ( no sales or prices , just an online magazine review ) , so I have deleted that line , how do I now inform Ebay that I have corrected it ??

Re: policy violation

That’ll probably be it lovely…. No links directing people away from eBay…..

check out the help pages about community guidelibes, see if there’s anything in there you can see…

I ’d think about ending that listing, then selecting “sell similar item” - and re listing with the corrections….

Re: policy violation

Hi @chooseiconic ,

Thanks for the reply.

That would be right as the link directed to an off eBay site it would of been picked up as not following policy.

Thank you,

Kat

Re: policy violation

We've had 27 of these policy violations over the last day - there are no links in our listings; I've contacted seller help and the chap I spoke to couldn't see anything wrong in our listings either, so we're not sure what the issue is - Kat, I sent you a PM, any help is much appreciated.

Re: policy violation

This first few months have been a learning curve for sure , the problem is I see it , Ebay are attempting a) to control everything start to finish and b) are trying to police it using Bots and AI , Who by their very nature only see things in black and white .
As a suggestion to Ebay , maybe when introducing a new policy , have humans available to answer the inevitable queries for the first few weeks .

At the moment I am trying and failing to find a way if a customer buys more than one item , combined postage can be applied . If they are overseas and in the hands of Ebays Global system it can be VERY expensive .

Maybe ebay have lost sight of who generates the money , I believe the figure for last year was $1.4 BILLION profit .

Re: policy violation

It could be the references to where you can and cannot deliver.

You don't need this in the description, as it should be defined in shipping templates.

Re: policy violation

Hi @garden-selections ,

Thank you for your post.

As mentioned by @jonatjonatjonat  it may be the postage information. It include postcodes. Do you have that detail in all your listings?

Thank you,

Kat
