Hello,
I am new to selling on eBay. I am a private seller, selling a few items I've had in the loft for a while as well as some trading cards.
This is my situation:
Can anybody provide advice? I am worried about selling more and not seeing my money.
Thanks

As long as there is no initial hold on your payout, that is, if you are a new or returning seller, proceed this way below, to withdraw available money showing in your Payment Summary.
Strangely some members have found this works on some devices and not on others, so worth trying on apps / PC and laptops use Chrome, until you find the combination that works for you.
Click on Payments >> Summary then any payout available for immediate withdrawal, is available for you, in a big blue banner.
Click on the > arrow, top right you may need to log in again, or even verify your account by receiving a text or email code.
Your eBay balance will show at the top, click on withdraw bottom right.
On the pop up screen which appears, at the top, there's a large, bolder £ sign, and flashing sign beside it. There, you add the amount you wish to withdraw. At the bottom.... Withdraw £*** Now click on this.
A notification appears... Your Money is on its Way. Click on this and then on Done.
Money is then sent to your nominated bank account and it will depend on your banks processing times, as to when you are able to withdraw the money. Some banks are faster than others.

How long ago was the first sale you made from today? Even as a long term seller it takes a while for funds to move from "Total" to being withdrawable

My first sale was 16th July. This is a pain because I got through to eBay and they said they would refer it to the relevant team and nothing came back to me. I work a day job and have young kids so by the time it's evening I can't get through to anybody on the phone and the automated assistant is useless.

You have sold quite a lot of items in short time .Ebay would consider you as new seller so may hold payments for up to 30 days.

CS is a mess, eBay seems to be having issues (as per) so even slower and more useless than usual.
16th July is quite recent for a new account, the difference between "available" and "total" is probably down to that as total will transfer over to available and after around 30 days of your first sale it should be withdrawable.

Thanks for your feedback, here is hoping 🙂 I can't see any other reason.
It would be good to hear this from eBay though.
Take care

Hello
Update 01/08/2025
I have just realised when I navigate to this page:
A blue box states
"Your payouts are currently on hold because we need more information to verify your account.
You can submit this information by going to the notification we sent you in Seller Hub. We also sent you an email with more information on what to do next. You'll find this email in Messages in My eBay.
Your payouts will be made available once we verify the submitted information. We appreciate your patience during this process."
However
When I go to Seller Hub there are NO notifications
I have NO messages regarding this.
I cannot get in touch with eBay support as I get stuck in the AI chatbot cycle with the automated agent.
Can anybody please help me with getting in touch with ebay to resolve this issue?

When clicking on the Blue Box Arrow to withdraw funds, the POP UP BOX (where usually input amount to withdraw etc) is just BLANK with NO DETAILS?
Also had issue with Post Office not recognising EBAY PRINTED Tracked 48 Postage Labels this morning?
Having a BAD DAY lol

This is super helpful thank you, was able to get in touch and they asked me to change my bank details - hoping this will resolve it after 48 hours.

I still cannot withdraw my funds. Can anybody advise how to lodge a formal complaint? I have almost £500 ties up and I have not been able to get access to it for going on 3+ weeks
Thank you

Contact eBay Customer Services, but I do recommend contacting them on a weekday at 8 a.m. when lines first open for a ' live agent' as there's more chance of Dublin answering. Ask them if they can see that all your bank details are correct, does it need any further verification. If not, and you provide them with tracking showing delivery of those items, as if your payout can now please, be released.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
As said, I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Looking at your sales it is likely you have reached the 30 sales for this calendar year.
Have you by chance been asked to supply your National Insurance Number? If so have you done so? Refusing to supply your NINO when requested would put a hold on your payments for 180 days under eBay's due diligence procedures in complying with their digital platform requirements for reporting.
If you haven't been asked, or have and have provided your NINO then I would suggest you contact eBay for further clarification using the link in post # 10.
