Unable to list items in inventory

Was unable to do this yesterday and having the same problem today.

Ebay message is:

Well, this is embarrassing.

We're sorry, the listing tool isn't working right this second.

Please try again later.

In reality ebay I'm not going to try later. What I'll be doing is heading over to our website and take the time to list on there. You loose.

Anyone else??

You are not speaking to eBay here when you say ' You loose'  ( lose?) , but to other members like yourself.

No one else is reporting this,  and sometimes eBay messages do not explain the full issue at hand.

We have no access to your account,  but from your feedback profile I can see you have returned after a little break from selling? 

This may not be the reason or perhaps it is,  that is,   you may be prevented from listing an item, because you have not fully or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Didn't realise ebay was using AI to respond to user posts. But I am enjoying the slightly condescending tone they have managed to achieve.

FYI this is the one community board that ebay should be monitoring. Frankly I've got better things to do than call CS whether in Dublin or elsewhere.

Tried again today and it's still not working

We are having the same issue since Friday morning. We cannot access any of our existing/create new inventory listings due to the error:

You're not wrong ebay. It is embarrassing how often your platform fails sellers. 

What's more embarrassing is your silence and lack of resolution to such an urgent issue.

Same here.  There's a similar problem on the Current known technical issues - updated as of 04/08/2025 list  "Sellers are unable to list the item due to an error message, "Well, this is embarrassing. We're sorry, but the application isn't working right this second. Please try again later."

Hi All,

This is a known issue, but we've only received a small number of reports on it.

I've added the accounts on this thread to the ticket but so I can get this escalated further, can anyone with the issue please send me a screenshot of the error including the link at the top of the page. I'll get it over to the tech team to help with their investigation.
