Selling restrictions for e-bikes

Why does the Ebay system allow me to upload all my photos, type in a description, set a price, set delivery/collection arrangments and then, only when I try to post it, it tells me I'm not authorised to sell one.

It would be helpful if the issue was flagged up as soon as one chooses the category "E-bike" - could have saved me a lot of wasted time 😞

Only authorized / approved Business dealers are allowed to list eBikes /accessories etc. on eBay due to safety concerns.  --- try a local auction / advert instead.

Thanks for replying, though it doesn't answer the question as to why the notification pops up so late in the listing process.

Completely agree. I've been there too.

Unfortunately posters on here have absolutely nothing to do with how eBay operates, or even understand why they make the decisions they do.

If you want to sell on eBay you just have to put up with this (and many other issues).
