When I buy something, and might use the seller in the future, I put them in my Saved Sellers and then use the Note to Self feature to describe what I bought. I've noticed problems over the last weeks with actually typing into the NtS box, where you couldn't see what you typed unless you highlighted by dragging the cursor.
Now, all my notes have disappeared!
I still have my list of sellers, but all the notes to self have gone!
Anyone else had this?

Yes! I have this exact same issue. Talking to an eBay agent now.

Note to self has disappeared for me too, sadly.
You used to be able to " red flag" messages , but that has gone? That feature helped me a great deal.

eBay have advised me that they are currently "looking into it". We've all heard that line before, haven't we?!
They better get this sorted soon because I went to an awful lot of trouble adding notes to myself to help me identify certain sellers.

Have the same issue myself,i used saved sellers as a quick reference to 'bad' sellers and the reasons why, 56 bad selling experiences in my folder by the way...............................

I too have lost all my saved sellers notes , and it's no longer possible to add new notes in the box provided - it simply doesn't work anymore. This is just the latest of many faults on different parts of eBay this year. They are clearly too mean to pay people to fix these faults. It's a disgrace.

Over 48 hours later and not a sound from the eBay "Technical Team". I doubt they even exist!

Another infuriating and unannounced removal of a useful feature by ebay.

I'll keep chasing them but I suspect they'll keep telling me they're "still looking into it" for the next 50 years!

Firstly, Thank You to everyone who has responded.
As of today, Sunday, my notes-to-self have not reappeared, and realistically, I don't think they will.
I have 117 saved sellers. The notes helped me to reorder items from the same seller.
I can always search through my purchases, but that only goes back to 2017- I've been a member since 2002. This also doesn't help if you used the Notes to record about sellers who were less than impressive, as Firebird mentioned
The good news is that the typing box has been fixed, so I can add notes again- see screenshot.
Thanks again, everyone.
Ebay used in Chrome. Win10/64

On my computer it's still not possible to type anything in the box. Nothing has changed.

Nope still gone for me too, and I also cannot add a note , that's all greyed out! 😫
No idea who some of them are?
Are they there for the good😇 ? Or there for the bad, and to be avoided 😈 ?

Sorry that the NtS box is still not working for some, I can only suggest the usual stuff- Log-out, then back in, check browser is up to date etc
@tressygirl I noticed that you were able to edit your post. Is this available to all, or only established users?
Thank you

Yes, I think it's actually only 5 minutes.

Thank you both! I'm about to find out

This has been annoying me as well. You can add a new note which only shows up for a short amount of time then disappears. The whole point was to have the note showing under each seller name!
18-11-2024 6:15 PM
I can't type in the box at all - it's impossible. Nothing appears.
18-11-2024 8:03 PM
Yeah, I might have celebrated too soon. Although the I can type a note into the box and click SAVE, the comment isn't appearing below the sellers name. Tried signing out , refreshing the page, but still blank.
I'll check again later.

I've just spent nearly two hours chasing eBay up about this issue! I asked them why they didn't bother to provide me with an update with 48 hours as they promised to do on the 14th of November! Besides not giving me a direct answer, they now want an additional 72 hours to "look into" this issue!
eBay has become a standing joke and I think the time has come to move to Etsy!
