Update from post yesterday... when trying to sign in my seller Account ID is not recognised on Firefox or Chrome. It is on Edge.
To sign in on Firefox I can only acheive this by using my email address.
Once signed in <under my full name>, my account ID is shown, confirming it exists.
This morning my OH also had the same.
Screenshot from yesterday shows it is as it is today.
I can't believe that we are the only ones affected by this - I could sign in as normal yesterday morning & then not.

Been using my username to log in since 2002 (23 years). Today it also says ‘username does not exist’. I can still login using my email address but not with username. Have I lost my username? Help?

Hi @marlindirect ,
No, this is a technical issue that is impacting the ability for some users to log in with their username. Its being worked on by our tech team for a fix.
I'll add your account to the open ticket. Once they provide an update on it being resolved I will update the thread.
Thank you,
Kat

You aren't the only one. We are having issues in my house with 3 IDs at the moment. I've just gone to see if I have orders that need packing tomorrow and 3 ebay IDs cannot be found

Same here needed to check for any sales <a remote possibility, but I live in hope>. You can get in hopefully using your email address too. 🤞

I managed to get in with a bit of faffing on my laptop, remains to be seen if I can manage on the main pc or not

Something has apparently changed about the sign-in page.
If you sign in using mixed case letters in your username, try entering your username in all lowercase instead.
Or, as others have indicated, try signing in using your email address as your username.

Seems to be working again this morning, thank you 👍

Yes mine seems to be as well. Just a ‘glitche’ mmmm! Too many of these nowadays.

Hi @marlindirect & @zoomingmouse ,
Thanks for coming back and confirming its back working for you. If anyone else here is still impacted try a clear of cache and cookies and sign in again.
Thank you,
Kat

I spent half hour yesterday on the phone to them, after having the same issue, but only on my buying account, not selling account.
To keep it short, it appears that if your username is caps on, it will no longer accept it like that, so you have to retype it, CAPs OFF!I
This is just your username, not the password.

The whole thing was weird as I could get in on Edge, no problem, but not Firefox or Chrome.
Today I can sign in either with my ID in lower case or, as usual, with one cap in it <I use shift + letter if it might make a different to Caps lock>, however, my ID displays entirely in lower case once in… maybe it always did & I just didn’t notice
They could really do with a notice board to display current glitches so users don't waste time seeing where the problem lies.

Oddly, i discovered this issue whilst useing my tablet, which i use more and more lately, but this morning (even as i type) i booted my desktop up and found that i can log in to ebay with my username caps on or off, so go figure, i`m also on firefox as well, which never gives me trouble. i`m wondering if this is an issue specific to certain devices?
Thirty years old this site is now, you`d think they`d have everything down to an art by now 🤔🤔

There is a pinned post on the top of the Technical Issues board on the dot com site with some recognized issues that have alert codes assigned, though the details of each are relatively spartan, and I do not think the recent sign-in issue was ever added to that list judging by the date of the most recent update.
Today I can sign in either with my ID in lower case or, as usual
I think that eBay undid whatever change caused the issue within a day or so of the issue being posted about on the community boards, though of course some users may still run into issues until all the changes propagate fully.
