Edit Note To Self messed up. Yet more infuriating user-unfriendliness from the idiots at ebay.

I keep a watch list of items I am interested in and have always used the "add note to self" facility to keep relevant information about the items and to remind me why they are in the list.

As of a few days ago, when adding a new note, it gets truncated to 56 letters. All my existing notes , most of which are longer than that, are still OK but get similarly truncated if I make any edits.

56 letters is not enough, *bleep* are ebay playing at now? So much of the site has been trashed over the last few months that it's all getting beyond a joke.

P.s. - that "bleep" was actually an abbreviation for What The Someting", seems to have been automatically bowdlerised...

2 weeks later:

As of yesterday, it has changed back to a maximum of 250 characters...

Is that a record short time for ebay actually fixing something they had broken?

And this morning it has gone back to only 56 characters.

Is somebody at ebay working for a competitor, and sabotaging the site so customers get so annoyed they shop elsewhere?

This new 56 character limit for notes in my watch lists is infuriating! Why does eBay keep tinkering with their, site? Every time they change something, it's for the worse!

Here we go again.... today it's back to 250 characters.

The incompetence and ineptitude of the people running ebay's software (and the management who continue to employ them) is quite amazing.
