Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

I too have this issue, I have 78 listings showing with a quantity of 85. I have 0 showing in my personal page via the account page that others should be able to see active but it is empty. I tried relisting a single listing tonight which did appear briefly before vanishing like the rest.

It means only my watchers can now see what is active for what they have watched or so I assume they can but my views have not gone up since Wednesday if not sooner.

It is the worst time as I am trying to sell as much as I can before Christmas and for listings to not show up is costing us all that are impacted by this financially.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

When did you first become aware of this before it rectified itself?

I was thinking if it is because I relist everything all at once but having relisted an item today on it's own and it happened again says this is something far more serious.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

That does not inspire confidence.  As a result of this, how are you sales?  Do you think they may have been impacted?  Do you know anyone else who can check your listings and see if it is just you who cannot see these?  Just wondering if this is what may be happening to us... yet another gremlin in the Ebay system!!

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Is anyone from Ebay reading these posts?  If you phone them to complain, all they do is tell you they will pass it on to the technical team.

12 months later - no replies and no fix!

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

My view count has not gone up for any of my listings since at least Wednesday when my most recent item had sole. Some of my views went down even though they were relisted only last weekend. My watchers were going up until sometime Tuesday/ Wednesday and have not since for none of the listings.

I am quite certain that no one can see a single item, since October I had been selling at least 3-4 items a week and sometimes 6-10 items a week more recently and this week only 1 item sold. I have items that are in demand so surely should have continued to sell at the same steady rate of sales that I have done for for the last five weeks.

Would it be just as easy to check on another device without being logged into check if my account active items can be seen by anyone else? You don't need an account to browse eBay, so surely if other networks and devices can't see the items for sale via my account page this is a huge problem.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

It is worrying.  Doesn't seem there is anything we as sellers can do to resolve this and Ebay are certainly not.  It takes them about 2 years+ to even acknowledge these kind of problems are affecting many sellers.  I was once told there is too much traffic on Ebay and the servers cannot handle it all!

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Yes mines received a nice amount of views the first day, but then stopped completely - very much like yourself! The issue has been going on for a few days now.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

I can't find anything now... it's pointless and frustrating. Everything I type in comes back with no items available. Very upset at this

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

I have just looked and can confirm nothing is showing to me either.  You have not hidden all your items for sale have you?  As when you want to temporarily stop sales?

You need to get on to Ebay to get this sorted.  I hope you get resolution quickly.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Hello all,

I looked into this and checked all recent reports posted here and wasn't able to replicate the issue.

For example, @shopping-ferret currently there are 585 listings available in the search results.

@beam_bomb all 8 listings are available in the search.

@sellarsagri 17 listings available on the site.

@thegoldstandard_hp I can confirm I am seeing 77 listings on the site.

@steveroyce  650 items are available on the site, so all good.

@bodenqueen66 currently, you don't have any listed items on this account.

Please note, that all listings go through the indexing, which may take 24-48 hours, therefore it may show as active in your selling activity, but not yet visible in the search results until full indexing.

Also, some active listings may be out of stock and won't appear in search results.

Thanks,

Anita

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Yes, but you have to go into my sellers page to see my active listings which I highly doubt many buyers do this.

If you actually try and search for a few of my products however they are not coming up -
When I copy and paste 2 of my listing names it shows "No exact matches found", hence I will not get any views and therefore no sales.

I posted them on 4 November so this is well outside of the 24-48 hour period and I have not ran out of stock either.

Thanks

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Hi Anita,

Thanks for replying to people on this post.  I can assure you that when I have specifically done searches for items I am selling, they have not always shown up in search results.  I think you are going to individual sellers here and looking at their shop or number of listings for sale, which shows you the correct total number of items showing.  There are so many issues going on with searches on Ebay.  In my case, I am well aware it takes some time for new listings to update and appear, or that out of stock items are not displayed... HOWEVER!!!!!  I have reported one seller who appears to have hundreds, if not thousands of items out of stock and guess what... they show up in searches... which has been ongoing for at least several months, when it first came to my attention, and with respect, contradicts what you said.  It is not the only contradiction when it comes to what sellers are told by Ebay.  I am sick of doing what we are advised, which is to report sellers or listings, and months later absolutely nothing changes.  I have also spoken to Ebay about this specific issue.  I am given stupid explanations by agents who are clueless.

See for yourself - check out nathaelliot-89.  Perhaps you can explain why this is allowed to happen by Ebay?

I also do not understand how Ebay decides which sellers with the same items appear higher up in the search results.  Several of my items are not showing as 'sponsored' yet they all are, so there is something I am not understanding here?  Is it a waste of money to promote everything?  I even see other sellers who do not promote their items are showing higher up in the searches than my same product!

Also, comments have been made that since many people have ad blockers installed, these can stop promoted listings from even displaying to them.   Again, are we wasting our money on promotions?

There is one item I sell that not many other sellers have, that I have been monitoring for about a year (mostly due to the fact another seller is constantly watching my listings and copies everything I do!!  It is like having an Ebay stalker!!)  Anyway, I recently noticed a new listing for this item by another seller, which has had no sales, which went straight to the top of the search.  This is a seller who does not even have much feedback, is not a top-rated seller, is not a registered business seller, has a lower feedback rating than I and has sold less than 200 items.  The listing is showing they are promoting this item but obviously I have no idea by how much or what promotion.

It also maddens me that Ebay do nothing to monitor the many, many business sellers masquerading as private sellers and on top of this, rewards them by giving them privileges for lying and defrauding HMRC.  Many years ago when my sales reached a certain level, I was told I HAD to register as a business seller.  Not sure if this was Paypal who initiated this.  What do Ebay do?  Turn a blind eye... aren't they supposed to be working together with HMRC to deter this??

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Its a total nonsense in what you are saying - I have tonight listed 4 items one after the other in about a 20 minute spread as that is how long it took me to complete each listing.

2 of the listings are showing and 2 are not!!???

They 'all' show that they are active on my seller page yet if you search for them they are nowhere in sight - I have even asked a friend to search from his account and he has the same result - 2 he can find and 2 he cant.

So your theory re it wont appear until full indexing has taken place isnt happening in this case.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Has this now been resolved as the posts raising this were in September. It is now mid-December and I am still having issues with some of my listings not showing, but they are live.

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

Hi @desirable-vinyl

If you created your listing within the last 24-48 hours, then it's possibly still being processed in the eBay search engine. This process is called indexing and can take up to 48 hours.

If you revised your listing, this may also cause a delay (every time you make a change, the item has to start over in the indexing process).

Also, please note that since a members can’t purchase items from their own listings, we recommend logging out of your account before searching for your items or open a private browser window.

If it’s been more than 48 hours since listing/or last revision, and you still can’t find your listings, can you please provide me with some item numbers as an example, so I can take a further look?

Thanks

Anita

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

ive been reviewing my listing and found about 10 so far with 0  views - why because they cannot even be found on ebay even searching with the ebay item number - they cannot be found - they have not been revised  or are new listing. they are on a rollling 30 day buy it now cycle - its clear ebay has got some serious issues going on here - we will be on the phone tomorrow to address this issue as sellers like us will be loosing £££ -it is simply not acceptable

just a note to all, the items in question appaer in our ebay shop but not in any ebay search and cannot be found using ebay search bar.

therefore this mask (that  If you created your listing within the last 24-48 hours, then it's possibly still being processed in the eBay search engine. This process is called indexing and can take up to 48 hours ) is just a smoke screen - its not a fix or has it been fixed - and ebay has a serious problem here

Re: EBAY LISTINGS NOW SHOWING

I also have this problem, my listings are also on a rolling 30 day buy it now cycle, with most relisted on 18th December, so they are not waiting to be indexed.  When I search for the items they do not show up in the search results, even if I do a copy and paste for the exact item title.

This needs to be sorted out as it's obviously a problem with ebay that looks like it has been happening to people for a long time.  I don't know when this started to happen to my listings, but I think it has possibly only happened to me over the last month.

I have tried searching after logging out of my account and using a private browser as anita@ebay suggested and my items still don't show.

Please let me know when this is going to be sorted out, as this is not a good selling experience at the moment, as nothing is selling.

If this persists sellers will start to move away from ebay if items can't be found, as sellers will not be making any sales.
