Hello, I have a buyer that will not pay. I opened a case with ebay 20 days ago and nothing has happened. I can request a refund of the seller fee but that seems to be it. Will the sellers communications with me be revewied by ebay and will they suffer any recourse for this?
Chalky
Return to the case and close it as still unpaid otherwise the case will time out without a refund of your selling fee ... the 'buyer' will receive a strike/account defect and neither party can leave any damaging Feedback ... you can then relist.
For collection or delivered items, although you cannot refuse PayPal if a buyer insists (except for Vehicles) ... best to accept Cash only on inspection/collection/delivery = No 21 day Payment holds/Chargebacks/PP fees/risk of later cases for 'not received/damaged' etc.
Nothing will happen. You have to close the Unpaid Case after 4 days, your selling fee gets refunded and buyer gets an unpaid strike and you can relist.
You must read instructions, as opening a case does not get ebay involved, you have to answer the question "Has payment been made" you say No and case closes.
If you do nothing as far as ebay are concerned buyer has paid, Ebay can only recognise a Paypal Payment, the buyer could have paid another way, Ebay can't just decide to close it without your instructions. If you do nothing case will just run out of time and close. No refund of selling fee.
Close it now. Add Buyer to Blocked Bidders List and set Buyer Preferences to block members with 2 or more unpaid strikes.
the only thing you can do is close the case to get your final value fees refunded, the non payer will also get a non payment strike,
I'm not sure what else you expect to happen
add the non payers ID to your blocked list

then set you bidder requirements to block bidders with two or more non payment strikes in the last 12 months
