On February 11 I sold an Amazon evoucher worth £25 to an ebay member who later proved to be a fraudster as he purchased the item from me, made an "unauthorised transaction" claim and Paypal naively believed the buyer. Because I could not appeal the decision, I have made a complaint (I doubt it will solve the issue but I gave it a go nonetheless). Because this con buyer didn't open the case on eBay, the latter is very unlikely to do anything either. Has anyone ever experienced anything like that? Any advice?

Hi, a customer has contacted me claiming they haven't received their order. They haven't opened a ticket yet and said they would wait a bit longer. I posted Royal Mail 2nd class (not tracked due to low value of item), I've checked my proof of postage on RM's site and it says it was delivered. This is the first problem i've had since selling on ebay. Some guidance would be appreciated. I assume Royal Mail wont compensate me because they have delivered? Would ebay rule in my favour? But I assume Paypal would still refund the buyer as I've not sent it tracked or is my proof of delivery by Royal Mail good enough? Sorry if this question is asked a lot. Thanks Brian

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY COMPANY'S THAT WILL PICK UP ITEMS I AM SELLING FROM MY HOUSE ? FOR EXAMPLE IF I HAVE ITEMS TO POST EVERY DAY WOULD THEY PICK UP AT MY HOUSE EVERY DAY ? I DON'T HAVE A CAR FOR A FEW WEEKS AND DON'T LIVE NEAR A POST OFFICE.

I recently sold a guitar to a chap who wasn't happy with condition and we arranged a return & refund through eBay. The parcel is back with me so I have added funds to paypal which is saying 5-7 days to be in. The buyer is not happy and wants a refund by bank transfer. I’m not happy to do this as eBay says it will automatically send the refund so I risk sending it twice. Is he trying to scam me?

Hello I am a private seller on ebay, just selling my own stuff and family things from clearing a family members house. I recently sold a packet of 24 Pegs to a buyer, who also bought 48 from another seller for the same price. She says my Pegs are to expensive and if I don't resolve the issue, then she has no choice other than to give me negative feedback. What am I supposed to do?

He claims he never purchased the item and wants a refund. What I cant really offer since he already redeemed the code. I dont really know what to do here. I did say in the description that it can't be returned due to the nature of the item. Any help will be great

It appears the £1 max selling fees is here this weekend but not for me, I’ve had no email and can’t find the promotion at all. Anyone know why this would be? It’s impossible to get hold of a human being on eBay. I am not a business. Cheers

Hi, I have a bid on an item and the bidder has since made me an offer but, as the item is auction only, I don’t think there is a way to amend the auction to add a BIN or add a best offer. If I cancel the auction and relist will I get a black mark as I already have a bid? I’m sure there must be a way round it but I can’t work out how.... Many thanks.

Can anyone help to explain something to me. I'm really confused. I have received an invoice, but I have been using the service where ebay take out their fees etc before I receive payment. I thought I read that this new way of doing things would mean we didn't have invoices...? Can anyone explain? Thank you for your time.

I requested a refund from a seller and have had no confirmation of this being issued. The seller has blocked me so I have no option but to contact eBay for this to be resolved. The seller will not accept responsibility and blaims the courier. There choice of courier service is NOT my problem and if the seller can't handle basic customer services then I feel they, as a company should be removed from eBay. How do I contact eBay directly?

Hi, advice please. Sold to Australia but cost of postage is more than both us expected so I'm offering to just cancel the deal although he has already transferred the original postage and bid money to Paypal. How do I refund. It's all amicable just more expensive than expected.

I have a live listing for sale which is open to offers. I am asking for £38 + postage. A buyer responded and instead of just using “buy it now”, sent me an offer for the £38 and asked me to message him via Whats App. I also noted the location as Malaysia ... I only post in UK. I also noted he had only opened his account in 2021 and had no activity. I was suspicious and declined offer. I have since had more of the same but from slightly different ID names (numbers change) but clearly the same person and same message. Yesterday I changed my password and blocked the two ID numbers. I also sent message response with last declined offer stating I do not send out of uk, I do not communicate off line and do not deal with buyers who use different ID’s. I thought that would be the end of it but this morning another one has arrived with different number on the ID again. eBay don’t seem to consider him a buyer as he hasn’t purchased anything yet so reporting him has seemed impossible. Any idea how to solve this? There’s clearly some sort of potential scam here but eBay help isn’t helpful in this case as far as I can see 🙁. Is my only option to remove this listing and then to re-list and not accept offers?

I sold an item through eBay, the buyer says that they have received the package, yet on PayPal it says that I will receive my payment once the package has been delivered. eBay and Post Office BOTH say that the package has been dispatched, but not delivered. How do I receive my payment? I contacted the buyer but no help yet.
