If it is the item I see in your sold items, you offered Royal Mail with a completely inadequate method of Postage for the Value.

If you used Packlink then your claim is with them not Hermes. Of course it would have helped if you had read their T & C before using them and the very limited compensation  if any that they pay.

You will have to refund the buyer through the Not As Described case which they must open. You are then left with trying to sort something out with Packlink.

So,the Hermes delivery agent in the shop that you posted the item through took your parcel all the way to your buyer ?.

Me think NO.

Did it ever occur to you that your buyer may be making a fraudulent claim ?.

I doubt very much that you will get anywhere if all you have to fight with is what you say in your opening post.

Don't use Packlink or Hermes for expensive items use Royal Mail Special Delivery

Ive had the same here with a phone. Ive sent hermes numerous emails and even a letter and no response. **bleep**s

Ask CAB for help to pursue myhermes but in general you can't expect a courier  to compensate you £236 when you only paid for £25 cover.  And laptops aren't even covered so you are unlikely to get that.

Since this was theft you might get somewhere but what did you expect to happen if the parcel was genuinely lost?

Labels can be removed and put on a different box quite easily. All you have to do now is prove that that is what has happened and then prove who did it and when.

Easy peasy really innit.

Packlink lol,again !.
