Can you-tube work for you ?

As a few of you know who have messaged me I have had great success with you-tube for advertising (free).

So as its end of year thought I would share some tips.

If it helps one or more people on here get more sales or feel inspired, then I have succeeded.

I have been using YT for many years for product demos, reviews and Vlogs.

Really took off during lockdown when everyone was bored at home.

BTW all my YT videos point to the website, not here. But that is not saying you can not make it work

if no website. Plus many of my product videos are for more high end products I do not sell on here.

The type of brands that don`t want their products devalued on 3rd party sites

Look up some of your products on YT and see how many views they get. If the numbers look

encouraging then have a go your self. Give a title that gives curiosity and a thumbnail that

stands out. Forget any ai. Just be yourself. Regards the title, just like this post, ask a question.

Don`t just plug the product doing hard sell. Give set up guides and hints & tips.

If you are one of the many on here that do bespoke products like clothing and gifts/ cards

then show how you make them.

Say something like "Link to buy in the description"

Costs nothing but time to try, and have had messages from members here thanking

me to help inspire.

As for me, my early videos were horrific, with poor quality lighting and sound using a cheap

3 MP camera that was high tech back then.

Over the last year I have gone a step further and gone from a faceless channel to putting

myself in shot so potential customers can see the guy behind the videos.

Also add my own dry sense of humour and play on words that some find amusing and

others just don`t get.

So as of now, the sales I generate from YT videos compared to eBay is off the scale.

Also with me having 3700+ subscribers it is also a monetized channel with google

paying me each month for others to advertise on my pages.  Which I guess is the

complete opposite to here. In fact I often make more income from others advertising alone

on my YT channel compared to sales here.

I have had genuine offers from companies to pay me to review their products.

But instead with the latest of these I decided to stock the brand myself.

This is something I will look at more when the time is right (getting closer to pension)

Yes, its social media, so expect trolls.

I did once ask on weekly chat if you could give an outside link to your own YT channel.

But as always the response was as clear as mud.

To repeat - It costs nothing to try.

Tried to keep this a reasonably short post. But for those who watch my YT channel I can

talk and talk and talk for much longer. Think getting behind the mic at open word nights helped.
