You have received an offer. Buyer Protection Fee ?

So if i have a listing with a buy it now of £191.66, a total of £200 with BPF to a potential buyer.

The potential buyer offers £191.66

If i accept it what do i get ? £183 something

Yes, you've got it. At the moment Seller offers do not include BPF (if you offer £200 you get £200) but Buyer offers do include it (so you get the offer minus BPF). This makes it tempting for Sellers to make counter-offers with just a slight increase to avoid paying the Buyer's BPF for them.

yeah thought so.

I was just going to accept as it's the same amount but then i thought why would someone do that, then i thought it was a slightly conniving way to dupe a seller into 'paying' the BPF instead of them.

EBAY and their crystal clear system strikes again

UPDATE:

I accepted the offer and received the total on the offer. EBAY must have updated the system to display what the seller actually receives. which is good news, clears the confusion up.
