UPS not collecting from depot.

 

Hello,

 

I purchased a UPS label in ebay and dropped it to the depot within 24 hours . This was not "simple delivery" it was from a selection. I chose UPS as it allowed the length and insurance.

 

UPS have not collected for a week.  it is still at the local drop off location. ( it is not a locker) 

 

I have sent two emails to UPS, neither has a 'thank you for your email' confirmation, and also there has been 

no response within the promised time. 

 

My buyer may be away or just too busy to respond. 

 

The tracking says dropped off by customer. but not collected by UPS.  so it is not moving.

 

They used to be top notch, but expensive. 

 

I am unsure what to do,  but wait.

 

Can anyone please advise?

Do nothing unless the buyer opens a "not received" case.    Do you know for sure that it's still at the drop-off location?   If not the tracking may not have been updated and the buyer could already have the item.

Hello thank you, yes it is there. and UPS still has not replied to emails.

We wonder if it could still be there at the depot in 4 weeks time as there is no information

at all as to what is going on, if UPS even has a van in this area.

 

It would be nice to have a release/cancel code so we could go and get it back.

UPS used to be really good with there nice looking brown vans.

Not much we can do once the parcel is with the carrier, but if you confirm the item number, I can take a look for you to see what's happening with the transaction and what is the best thing to do for you for the moment.

For anyone reading in the same boat

 

It took a week to collect. and two further days to deliver.

 

the shop/depot took the parcel from me on the first day, knowing UPS were not collecting on time. but did not tell me. 

 

i went to the depot 3 days after it was meant to be collected and asked why it was still by the till ( great place to leave it, it could be a worth 2 grand or priceless a family painting or anything.seems UPS do nto spot check the security level of the store/dept. or prove a UPS container. might be a good idea with a little padlock on.

A brown wheelie bin?

 

The shop staff said "they usually collect mid week, so in a few days".   oh nice.  6 days or so , they thought from the first day.  Well, it was 7.   Had I known, I would have shredded the ups label and gone to the post office. 

They must be unaware or careless  to treat customers like that . not to warn them and take parcels.

 

Maybe they just still do not understand how important it is to send things to the destination on time? they did not apologise. so likely careless unware of the potential damage to their buisness if they do it to a local who's family shops there.

 

UPS did not offer a discount or refund in their email claiming the driver was on his way. 6 days after it was meant to be picked up.

 

I see no recognition or the ability to give feedback to these ebay approved couriers. or a claim button in the ebay console.  When selecting a label i should be able to see a report and "feedback" of the couriers history in my area and the area the parcel is going too. I could then have chose another method.
