As a Private Seller and buyer, eBay have finally come up with a system that works for nobody but them and the business's that have thousands of negative feedback's, It's called "Customers, what do they know" We do what the hell we like and how dare you customers complain about it.
My other post was how they have KILLED the private market for sellers & buyers alike with the BPF scam.
Buyers can't request a total if the seller offers discount on multiple winning bids, Sellers can't send an invoice with the discount, because it's been removed deliberately by eBay to maximise the BPF scam pay-out.
I myself won a lot of item the last Friday, from a private seller I've bought from 3 times before, and requested a total before paying for the items with the postage discount. The items I won last Friday I am not able to do this and the seller is unable to process the order like before.
I got in touch with the unhelpful CS, and for the 1st 20 minutes was told it was possible but the seller's setting's were the problem. (I'd already been in touch with the seller, this was not the case) Then all of a sudden they were having technical issues with the system and there is a tech team working on the problem.
I left it at that, informed the seller, and we will wait till resolved.
Then I started reading a lot of these posts, which If I'm honest I never really have, about the changes that have been made. So I got back in touch with CS, the only option was to have a phone call so I agreed. I genuinely was shocked that it was an international call but OK, and I got the same twaddle like the 1st time. This is very unprofessional and dishonest, but CS have a script and have to stick to it, no matter how many times they sat "I totally understand where your coming from".
Yesterday (19th March) I got in touch again with CS, as still nothing has happened, and I asked a simple question "Has the Combined Request Total from Seller been Disabled") This led to the first person after 10 minutes saying "I need to pass you over to someone who deals with this issue" OK can't answer the question.
Next person, same thing, really what the hell is going on!! Third person I got the same script and no answers like the 1st time I contacted them, to which they claimed there are no issues, it must be the seller's setting, if you get them to contact us we can help them sort it out. Then there was a Glitch with the system that effects some accounts and that the combined request hasn't been removed. If it had been removed they would have announced it. Would they? Why? Surely if there is a Glitch in the system, shouldn't us users of the system be informed about it with something like "We are having some issues with the system, that may effect multiple purchases from sellers. We are working on fixing this Glitch" But nothing just these forums of sellers & buyers complaining about something that worked, until eBay wanted to scam more money from private sellers & buyers with this Unnecessary and unwanted BPF.
The reason for the removal of this tool is so obvious, so buyers of multiple items from one seller pays the whole amount, and for the seller, when they eventually get the funds paid to them to issue a partial refund back to the buyer. Inbetween time the eBay BPF SCAM kicks in, they get the 4% + 75p per item first, no discount on that, then they hold the funds until they decide to pay out.
eBay if your reading this, Well done you've united the sellers & buyers against you with this unfair and unwelcome charge, for your own GREED, and you will lose out big time until you change this back before the introduction of you BPF SCAM. Buyers were and are already protected, this is an extra charge on them. Sellers who send with tracking are protected through postal insurance. All you've done is made it impossible for private sellers to sell & buyers to buy.

"I see you've been with us for over 20 years. Thank you for your loyalty. Let me look into that for you..... I have a number of options for you. Would you prefer to spend ages going round and round in circles with our AI chat bot? Or you can choose to have this passed to 'the team', or leave it as feedback for someone to possibly consider, or have someone get back to you at a later date (possibly)? Or do you prefer a standard answer such as 'This is a known issue and it is being worked on'? Alternatively you can bring this up at the weekly chat where someone from our team will do one of these things on your behalf...... Thank you for shopping and selling on eBay".

Thank you for the reply.
I've spoken to CS 3 times on the chat and once by phone call, so I tell the AI bot 'Agent' to go straight to CS.
Every time I've said more or less the same thing, with no solutions other than pay the full amount or get the seller to contact us. I've spoken to the seller and they have done this with no joy whatsoever. Each time I've been told it has been passed to the 'Team' to look into and a complaint has been logged. Still nothing has happened and the seller & I can not complete the process. If there is a Glitch then it shouldn't take a professional tech team weeks as stated on here that the problem occurred to fix. Conclusion the facts speak for themselves since BPF was introduced, the ability for buyers to request & the sellers to send a total invoice has been removed by eBay for private users. Unless this option is returned at the point of origin then no matter what 'The Team' say will solve the problem everybody on here has mentioned regarding this issue.

Many thanks for the above information. I'd spent hours trying to work out what has happened and wasting time with AI contact. It is disgraceful that us private sellers can no longer send an invoice for multiple purchases from the same buyer and combine postage or for the buyer to only have one BPF. Greedy Ebay. I've been a member since 2004, not impressed at all with this latest money grab.

I think this post deserves visibility, but I fear that others might give up, as I did, because my attention span was too short. I put it into AI and got a summary, I hope it's fair:
eBay's new system seems to benefit only the platform and businesses with numerous negative feedback, disregarding private sellers and buyers. Their changes, particularly the BPF scam, have effectively destroyed the private market. Buyers can no longer request totals for discounted multiple items, and sellers can't send invoices with discounts due to eBay's deliberate removal of this feature.
I recently won items from a seller I've purchased from before and wanted a total with a postage discount, but eBay's system wouldn't allow it. Customer service was unhelpful, initially blaming the seller's settings, then claiming technical issues. After further attempts to resolve the issue, I encountered the same scripted responses and no real answers.
When I inquired if the combined request total feature had been disabled, I was passed around multiple representatives, none of whom could provide clarity. They insisted there were no issues and suggested it was the seller's fault. If there were glitches, users should be informed, yet eBay remains silent while complaints pile up.
The removal of this tool is clearly aimed at ensuring buyers pay full amounts upfront, allowing eBay to collect fees before sellers can issue refunds. This approach has alienated both sellers and buyers, uniting them against eBay's greed. The platform needs to revert these changes to restore fairness, as buyers were already protected, and sellers had their own safeguards.

UPDATE:
Congratulations Scambay, after 22+ years the e-mail I received this morning is the final straw for me as a private seller and buyer. I'm sure you won't give a flying F*** about it but I'm sure I'm not alone, from what I've read.
As of tomorrow 1st April all my items will be removed. I am offended that you deem in necessary to dictate and choose to make it compulsory how I decide to send with this SD BS.
Coming after BPF SCAM, I'm sure the majority of private sellers will be done with Scambay.
To all the sellers I've purchased from in my time, Thank You.
To all the buyers who have purchased something from me, I am grateful that you choose my items, Thank You
To the buyers who've bought recently, I would like to personally apologise to you that you have had to pay more than my listed price because of eBay's greed with their BPF SCAM.
I would like to think that this final insult will be the death of eBay, because once all the private sellers are gone, and Scambay isn't grifting money from us, business's will be on the hit list for their grift.
I'm sure trading standards and the monopoly's commission might be interested in these latest changes as I'm sure BPF being added to something already offered and making it compulsory with SD removing personal chose on how to send items, by dictating who to to use and how much more you have pay for the grift.
Final thought,
Congratulations on joining the gutter with Hermes (Evri).
Standards don't take long to fall when the $$ signs are flashing.
Trust and honesty and Integrity doesn't cost a penny, one day you might learn this, before it's too late, but in all honesty I personally think NOW for Private sellers it already is.

I doubt Trading Standards nor the Monoplies commission will have a problem with Ebay's changes as if there was an issue then Vinted would have been shut down ages ago.
As for making it impossible for private sellers to sell, I have no problem with the BPF nor holding my money for up to 14 days, and I am not going to make a judgement on SD until I have tried it. I suspect a lot of existing private sellers will continue to sell and many will be happy that they don't have to sort out the postage, they just have to either print a label or take a QR code to the post office. New private sellers will just accept that Ebay works in the same way as Vinted.
It is human nature to not like change and you are obviously not happy but many of us will continue and I doubt Ebay is going anywhere any time soon.
