Just been away for a few days and yet again, this process is still a car crash
If my understandings are wrong, please say so. I take a few days off keeping inventory for sale.
I change my dispatch times from same day to 3 days, then the following day, reduce to 2 day, following day 1 day, then same day. To show accurate lead time. (Yes I know, not an accurate term)
IMO this seems to slow sales with the bulk edit dispatch times, with the added mess of Business Policies being created willy nilly and the inability to improve dispatch times on any inventory youve sent offers on even though your improving the attractiveness of the listing you cant edit until after the selected time period of the offer, (4 days I thnk)
There is the Time Away Ive not used in year, which I understand you have to still amend the dispatch time, is this correct?
I tend to zip off for a few days at a time, increasing dispatch times from same day to 2/3 days, reducing daily till its back to same day and Im back shipping, each time its a mess to administer on a small moble device
Alternatives and education lessons appreciated

I never extend the despatch time and use the time away option and let eBay do the calculations...If I fully understood your question.
Honestly, I never use a mobile device for selling via the App

You don't need to adjust your lead time, just add to your time away ( couple of days just in case you come back to allot of orders) then dispatch current orders and when ready and turn off time away. Back to normal.

Even for a couple of days away?
So todays Monday and you normally dispatch same day, you've had a long weekend and are coming back Wednesday,
You would use Time Away over adjusting manualy?

Still time away...eBay will extend the expected delivery date. You can test to see what a buyer would see
Side note, I set despatch within 2 days but usually post next day or even same day if the order comes during the night... Just in case something come up the same day or next

I don't see why you shouldn't reasonably stay away for longer than that.
If there's a 'glitch' or total system meltdown at the start of the week it's unlikely to have been fixed by the Wednesday. 😉

Just the common scenario for me, usually 2/3 days breaks around the UK
Apologies if Ive misinterpreted your comment

As others have advised use the Time Away facility. It automatically adjusts your despatch time AND flags up on the listing that there will be a delay in posting, so no come backs.

Haha, yes I was wrong this time. The meltdown got fixed by the Tuesday!
But most sellers may still need a long break to recover from it.... 😉

Absolutely when you come back just turn it off when your ready. Back to normal viewing in about an hour an you shouldn't get new policies being written for you.
You shouldn't anyway but it a thing that does happen when you book time away the way you have been doing.
Because of the offers. Booking time away with a message that you will despatch on your return changes the algorithm for edd's.
