Hi.
I have sold item for 120£. Posted via simple delivery. It was scanned, then jt went on merry go around the country, 4 pages of scans in fact.
Buyer chased me, told them to open INR because it's Ebay who contracts Evri and they deal with delivery issues.
Buyer did that, chased me again, I chased ebay who confirmed they are responsible etc.
Today they issued buyer a refund and charged me INC postage AND buyer fees! (I got paid after posting). I have obviously already appealed but what is this fresh hell?
I have been selling since 2002, small seller, but that's me done.
Now, in a new twist of things, I just checked tracking and it says buyer address NOT FOUND, item is being returned to me.
But I don't think the label has return details.
Anyone been through this?

If the tracking is showing that the item has been returned to you then that probably explains why the refund has been taken from you instead of eBay covering it. This is stipulated in the 'eBay delivery Terms and Conditions:
Items that the carrier is unable to deliver to the buyer or are uncollected by your buyer, other than those that do not comply with these Terms, may be returned to you. If the item is returned to you, you may be responsible for refunding the buyer the item cost, and any amounts paid by the buyer for delivery, see here for further information.
If you have a return or despatch address set up in eBay then it will automatically appear on the label (check here https://accountsettings.ebay.co.uk/uas/addresses).

this has appeared only after the case was closed.
It's NOT on official Evri page tracking, only on ebay site.
Also, I don't have item back.
I didn't contract Evri as a carrier, the postage issue is entirely between Evri and Ebay?

You must post all items contained in a single order in one package. You must only use the Simple Delivery label provided to you once per package.'

Hi thanks, but this has only appeared after the case was closed.
Also, I don't have parcel back yet, I would possibly understand if I did.

Thing is Evri won't even talk to me because legally Imm not party to the contract, ebay are. They receive postage/choose carrier.

That's why I choose not to use it, I am canceling sales if it is Simple Delivery. Covered my a**, if you could just choose yor entrusted carrier, you could, even if it miss, at least defend yourself. How this new system can overcomplicate an existing simple one. Try to track it on Global Shipping website, it used to give me more detailed info when I was fightning with Evri about my lost parcel.

It doesn't let you opt out os Simple Delivery, only certain items and categories.
Evri bot tells me parcel is waiting for delivery at buyers depot (that was Monday).
see what resolution team comes back with.
But contractually, until parcel is either delivered to buyer or me, they remain responsible fot any loss.
Once it gets back and it's not damaged, I could understand the debit of my funds but before it doesn't make logical sense.
parcel has 4 pages of scans and they have been to main hub at least 3 times. So chances of it making it here is.. slim

Just an update.
Ebay refunded me on appeal. Still no parcel delivery to buyer or me. I guess it's gone to Evri vortex.
