Simple delivery - Is it simple or sinful?

Simple delivery

What could be more simple than what I already had?

1) I book a collection.
2) Royal mail collect it from me.
3) Royal mail deliver it to the buyer.
4) If anything went missing, Royal Mail refunded.

It always worked for me with zero issues. It couldn't have been any better.

But greedeBay decided they wanted to make money out of delivery (the CEO said so himself), so they introduce a convoluted mess and tell me it's "simple" and "for the benefit of buyers and sellers".

Hahahahahahahahahahaha..... Go away with your doublespeak and greed. It's called exploitation and abuse to dominate and control for your own gain. Let's be clear about the reality of what's actually happening here.

Yes, we all have a choice of whether to take part or not, but the options now for private sellers are 1) take part and be expolited 2) leave.

There's a reason why it's making the national press. It's not simple, it's sinful.

Just to add to that...... We assumed Simple Delivery meant that it would be quick and easy, without hassle.

The word "Simple" has a few definitions:
~ Easy.
~ Plain.
~ Lacking in sophistication.

Well, it's not easy or plain.

You are heavily involved in a number of other threads on this subject. You are adding nothing new here.

There really is no need to start yet another thread, unless you really are that desperate for the attention.

"You are heavily involved in a number of other threads on this subject."

So...? I thought the idea of a forum was to comment on things that interest you 😄

"You are adding nothing new here".

So...? Is adding something new the only reason to use a forum? Besides, I think this consolidation is new.

"There really is no need to start yet another thread"

Says who? There's no need for a forum, but humans tend to enjoy expressing themselves.

"...unless you really are that desperate for the attention".

Well, I got yours, so thanks for that.

Hardly. In the last 10 days I have only made 12 replies on all threads in total, some of which are on different subjects. That's only an average of one a day. So, please stick to the facts.

Obviously you are scrutinizing what I do, but you have missed the fact that I have only ever made 5 posts, despite being on the forum for 4 years. So, I'm not heavily involved with anything.

You on the other hand seem to crop up everywhere I look.

Thinking about Eve Williams' announcement where it says "When you follow our packaging guidance, you benefit from the protection for damage in transit offered by Simple Delivery". How will it be determined whether the item was packaged correctly? There's quite a list of things which could be drawn upon to claim you didn't do your job properly and how could you prove you did? It's all a bit slippery.

"We only win when you win" has a very hollow ring to it in the current circumstances. I don't think there will be much winning.

On the customer service page for "Packing your sold items" it says:
Showing the human side of your business can go a long way towards building a good relationship with your customers.

*Sigh*
