Yet aqain, Simple Delivery screws up.
I tried to list a boxed Guitar Hero and am forced to use Not so Simple Delivery . eBay Not AI says it is a medium parcel. It is not within the Royal Mail limits as it's over 60cm long (eBay base their SD sizing on royal mail even if its Evri). I contact eBay support who initially are of no help as they haven't really got a clue. The guy eventually suggests I should "add" the cost of postage to the item (how does that work in an auction) ! After chatting to someone else, he suggests temporarily switching my simple delivery option to Evri as they will take a longer parcel and after listing, switch back to RM. Okay, Evri is a pain as a long way from home but I do as he suggests. The item sells and now eBay creates a Royal Mail label despite the buyer paying for Evri. I am now waiting for eBay to send an Evri lable (2 days apparently). No one can explain what happened but it obviously has something to do with my
I am going to stop selling anything that is heavy or bigger than a medium parcel as Simple Delivery cannot cope and I am bored of trying to sort this *bleep* out to make a few quid.

I had an oversize and over weight parcel a couple of days ago with no way to change the Evri option. It mentioned somewhere while printing the label that I could proceed even it was either oversize or over weight. I did it and the parcel was delivered 2 days later with no comeback.
The Evri label states 'Simple Delivery' so I assume eBay have cut a deal with Evri to deliver the parcels even if outwith the label specs. My parcel was a large parcel weighing 8 kilos with a 2Kg Medium Parcel label.

Mike - I had an Evri label issue, not Royal Mail. I have no experience with Royal Mail labels but I wish you good luck in getting it resolved.

When i sold my guitars about 6 years ago even then i could only use Parcelforce. Probably the same today due to the size and compensation limit required.

Come on everyone! 😊 You can list oversize items with the carrier of your choice.
Use my workaround- follow it exactly. https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/how-do-you-list-anything-bigger-than-61cm/m-p/7882486...
