I'm in all likelihood out, it's not just that these new stealth seller fee's make a good portion of what I have listed and would like to list in due time pointlessly unprofitable.
Apparently we're all crooks who can't be trusted no matter how long or how successfully and problem free we've been selling.
It's basically a complete and utter lie that these changes are for the buyer's benefit, it is just a stealth renewal of fee's on private sellers. (Yes the buyer technically pays them and only knows/see about them at checkout, and they'll likely ignore that information as they care solely about the final price they pay, it's not an added cost it's an included cost - there is a distinct difference how one feels about those 2 things! - In the END the seller has to swallow the costs of these new fee's to remain competitively priced).
If this were about catching out businesses acting as private sellers, surely there are more obvious ways to see that a private seller is really a business through quantity, volume and what they're selling - it'd be blasted simple to police that!
Even for higher values items, I feel I'll have to refuse to sell them on ebay as I refuse on principle to give them the satisfaction of taking any more money from me.
So bravo ebay, in all likelihood no more money from me or I'm taking from all the posts/threads on here a not insignificant number of sellers ... genius!

I have no choice as I can’t possibly pack all 60 plus things I have for sale for postage so I can weigh them and measure for eBay to charge the correct postage rates.
At the moment I offer free postage and sometimes have to upgrade postage if I add extra packing for protection in the post after the sale.
Also if collection from home isn’t an option then I can’t always get to post office due to cancer treatment and side effects.
Ebay are shutting me out from selling after 21 years as a seller and 24 years on eBay as a buyer.
As a buyer I will obviously shop on Amazon or elsewhere when I’m not charged a buyers tax 😀

"As a buyer I will obviously shop on Amazon or elsewhere when I’m not charged a buyers tax"
Not at the moment but i'm guessing other sites will be rubbing their hands together and making plans for whatever comes their way.

Another option is bump up all of my prices by 10-20% - won't increase sales, but on the one hand if it does sell on ebay then I get the sweetener of a bigger sale, that makes swallowing the extra fee's, wait time on money and giving the _ _ _ _ @ ebay more money more palatble.
Whilst also listing my stuff elsewhere as I've started to .... at lower prices.
So less sales overall for ebay to claw money out of tooth and nail ... again bravo ebay, genius.

To add ebay's bulk editiing feature is very useful for bulk editing prices, so ....
Add 4% ... click ..... done
Add 10%-20% ..... click ..... done
Add 75p ..... click ..... done

i am out, had few things removed but was to list 4-500 coaster and badge collection this weekend which i will not do
they are no high value so was to charge £3 a coaster and badge and charge £1.80 2nd class delivery (£1.55 plus extra for padded envelope, label, tape and card to line for batch pin protection)
but that total £4.80 would be acceptable total cost it turns into on the buyers side as have to use tracked delivery at least £6.67
way too expensive. i am sure ebay and some other people on here who support the move think that buyers to not take the cost of postage into things when they are deciding to buy something lol
of course they do like i do.
if i see 2 identical items where 1 is 2.99 and 2 for postage and then the other version is 3.99 and free postage then clearly i can see the one with the higher item price is still cheaper as its free postage.

so is their bulk delete which i did haha
no point me adding more onto items as well as new high postage

As a private seller offering very low value items from my collections, there is just no point in me selling on ebay anymore. At the end of the month, all my listings will be deleted.
Very sad that this day has come as it will hugely impact my hobby of collecting post cards, both as a buyer and seller.
As they say.... "don't stay where you are no longer wanted".

I will continue selling and see how the new 'buyer fees' work out, i do not sell much anyway and not dependent on the money so can afford to wait two weeks for it to appear if i do manage to make a sale. However i will definitely be leaving when they bring simple delivery in as mandatory.
