Return item is damaged or not the one I sent

Hi,

I started selling TCG on Ebay and sold nearly 90 items with no issue, I read advice to record my package and item as well as take photos, I recently had someone by a card off me and say there is damage on the card, I accepted the return so I could inspect the card but the card is clearly been damage or been swapped.

There is a dent, scatch and dirt on the back and you can see in my video and photos there is none, how do I handle this? or should I speak to eBay?

What was the value of the item?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

In the case there should be a link that states "Report a problem". Once you click on it there will be a list of reasons for filing the report such as "Returned a different item" and "Item returned in a different condition" (or something very similar).

There is a way of all but guaranteeing you're not left out of pocket but it involves filing a report with Action Fraud first then including the reference number they give you in the above report to eBay. However, for £37.00 I personally wouldn't bother with Action Fraud and would just file the eBay report; especially if I was unsure whether the same item had been returned or not.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Business Sellers have the option of returning as little as 50% but you are registered as a Private Seller. I would start by adding the Buyer to your Blocked List. Then I would use Report a Buyer tool. Within the Return Case I would add photos of the dirt/damage and ask the Buyer if they returned the wrong item (can't hurt). And as advised possibly file an Action Fraud case. With any or all of these recorded, get eBay on the phone to explain and ask for their help. They may refund you as a courtesy.
