ROYAL MAIL LABEL BOUGHT ON EBAY - POSTED - THEN POSTIE SHOWS UP TO COLLECT ?.

I thought Royal Mail collections were no longer free ?. 22nd July bought a Royal Mail RM48 Label to post a Hoodie.Duly went to Post Office posted parcel got receipt. 4 Hours later Postie shows up to collect and of course I knew nothing about it as I had not arranged a Collection. And I had not paid for a collection.

I paid £3.45 for a RM48 Small Parcel which has been the price for a while now.

Anybody know what is going on ?.

If your items are still on Custom postage, sounds like you just accidentally clicked on the RM48 Collection, instead of 'Drop-off'. They are both the same price.

The 30p collection fee is charged when you buy postage directly from Royal Mail online.

It's a pity Postie didn't turn up earlier - would've saved you a trip to the PO... 😄
