RE the new Ebayer buyer protection, payment after delivery

The new buyer prorection rules says fund will only be released after items have been delivered. Many of my items are not marked as delivered even though positive feedback has been left. Does this mean I won't get paid as they are not marked as delivered ????? Are we now relying on posties to scan parcels properly ??

This is utterly DISGRACEFUL Ebay....IF item shows as delivered, THEN payment from buyer will be released TWO DAYS after delivery confirmation !!!! 😡😡😡

So, leaving aside the issue that Royal Mail frequently never shows parcels as delivered, what are sellers meant to do for items that go as a letter or large letter under 100g where there is no tracking?  Do we have to send tracked at double the cost and make nothing on the sale?

And why only paid after delivery if using ebay's simple delivery when ebay are responsible for loss?

I don't understand what is wrong with the current system - if a buyer says the item hasn't been delivered, they get their money back. It won't solve things for those where the courier says it has been delivered but it hasn't...those buyers will find it even more difficult to get a refund, surely.

It's just eBay feeling a bit poor by stopping fees so they're charging fees again by the back door and they think everyone is stupid and won't realise.

Yes its disgraceful,now have to pay for postage out of my pocket for items that i havnt been paid for as ebay holding the money and making interest on it ..Will take a week or more before you get any funds,thats providing the buyer  or postal service can be bothered to confirm they received it and its been delivered..

I wont be bothering to sell anymore ,its rediculous..

Im off to do my food shop now,and i going to ask the shop if i can take my groceries home without paying but will pay when i delivered them safely...Mmmm

Exactly. Items such as DVD's, CD's or anything else under 100g can only be posted with a normal stamp on them, instead of a tracking label where you get a receipt to show it's been posted.

Sellers of untracked items will have to wait 14 days before payment is released

I will actually be stating to a customer, to give feedback asap at the end of my items description. Due to this nonsense which has nothing to do with customer protection. Ebay have always covered the buyers, even if one has a no refunds account. You know they can over rule one.

Why?  Feedback is not taken into account in releasing funds.

That won’t do you any good. Buyers don’t take kindly to being given conditions or orders by sellers and feedback has never been taken as proof of delivery. That won’t change and no facility exists for buyers to mark items ‘received’. 

As buyers will claim INR well before 14 days have passed how many refunds will be given before sellers see their money? Of course after SD that figure should be none considering that only tracked labels will be used and tracking always works, doesn’t it?

Yes, I am also waiting on payments due to items not bring marked as delivered. This new payment procedure is unsatisfactory.

It is not fit for purpose. Even if you have +ve feedback & emails thanking you they still withhold your money. I wonder how they get around this legally.

Exactly. Buyers already have adequate protection & Ebay are now fleecing them with an enforced extra payment for nothing !! Surely that should be optional?

I’ve had to contact a eBay agent because even tho I’ve sent an item with parcel force tracked 24 and it’s been delivered and I’ve had positive feedback left!! EBay still withheld my money 😡

You have some really nice items which I would be happy to pay the asking price for.

Unfortunately, even though I am sorely tempted, I only buy from genuine private sellers or registered business sellers.

Hi,It's grossly absurd. I was told by an agent that if Parcel Force or Royal Mail failed to scan a fully tracked item as delivered, it would be 30 days until Ebay release your sellers payment, even with +ve feedback & a confirmation email of receipt from the buyer.
