Problem with track48 serial YA Royal Mail

I bought a track48 label through eBay and this morning a nice lady at the Post Office said that track48 with the YA number is not accepted and that I should contact the seller. does anyone have a similar problem? did ebay uk sell me a fake label?

FWIW, these tracking codes work with the Royal Mail postal lockers, not sure if anyone else has mentioned that!

All YA labels I have had collected  have all scanned and tracked as they should have.

Yes I am aware of that i was just making the comment as I know some people are still having issues

Seemingly the issue is back as I had a YA Parcel sent from a seller on the 2nd of September and it hasn't been scanned since it was accepted at the parcel shop. I phoned royal mail and they confirmed there is still an issue with the YA numbers.

Must have come back in the last couple of days as i sent one on Monday and tracked all ok with a YA number.

Seems to be very random.

Hopefully there is not someone out there with xray eyes!

My postman are very good (I have mine collected as I am housebound) and they nearly always scan at the doorstep so i would know then if there is going to be an issue. So far any that i have sent with a YA number have all tracked in thre time that it should have.

How long do you have to wait to put in a claim?
