I bought a track48 label through eBay and this morning a nice lady at the Post Office said that track48 with the YA number is not accepted and that I should contact the seller. does anyone have a similar problem? did ebay uk sell me a fake label?

My 4 YA parcels from ebay have worked this morning and have just been accepted at the Post Office. A huge relief having waited 2-3 days...

No. The label is not fake it is a glitch with Royal Mail I have 10 eBay parcels with the barcode YA that are not going through the post office system. They are working on fixing this issue. But today I will be marching into the local Royal Mail sorting office to complain and hopefully leave my parcels. Wish me luck 😊👍

Awesome, hopefully mine will work today too as I'm getting fed op of going to the postoffice, standing in the queue and then having to leave with said parcels! 🙄😅

The post office accepted my parcels with YA yesterday 3pm unscanned as well as they said it can still be posted and I took photos. But my tracking information still hasn’t updated from “We’re expecting it”. I’ve let the buyers know about the issue but this is just stressing me out as Royal Mail is known to “lose” parcels 😞

None of the RM48 parcels I sent yesterday has been updated with tracking information yet. Royal Fail.

Ugh that just sucks 😞 but I’m at least glad to know I’m not the only one with no update and posted yesterday! Fingers crossed we’ll get the updates soon as some people seem to be getting them. But yeah Royal Fail and Lost Office it is

Hi All,
The issue with the track48 YA labels has been resolved. The Royal Mail systems are now accepting the parcels so you should be able to send them through the Post Office. If you were unable to send your parcels and new labels were purchased the original labels can be voided.
For Simple Delivery, the buyer purchased labels will automatically be refunded to the buyer within 30-40 days. For seller paid labels a refund request can be submitted through the webform within 14 days from the order date.
For non Simple Delivery eBay labels, they can be voided within 14 days by going to postage labels on your account.
There will be automated protections in place for impacted sellers for late shipment and INR service metrics.
Thank you,
Kat

UPDATE - I took four parcels to my local Royal Mail (delivery office) this morning, and they all scanned in no problem, and they have updated on the RM website as (WE GOT IT).
If you have a RM mail center near you,i suggest using this for all your 48hr YA parcels, until such times the issues is fixed at the post office.

3 days for ebay to respond? Typical, with the, after the event snail response, from our masters at ebay.
Had ebay of been bothered about its sellers then it should have noted this before 3 days passed...
I sent a parcel yesterday, and wasnt aware of the situation as being hard of hearing and with PO staff being non english speakers, it wasn't stated as a big deal... Now im wondering if my item is lost for ever.
How does it take you so long to acknowledge a problem and to support sellers with any advice. 3 days????????

Yes, I was just thinking but what about the people, like me, who already posted as their post offices said they can accept it and now the tracking information is still not updated? The eBay response is only for people who haven’t posted their parcels yet.

I took mine to the PO yesterday, both were accepted but no receipt. Tracking still says 'We are expecting it'.
My concern is there's no way to show they were delivered, so is my money just going to sit in eBay's system forever?? That's assuming the buyer doesn't claim they weren't delivered. Whole thing sucks, and I'm seriously considering closing my account. It's like the final straw.

i feel your pain. Ebay are outrageous, for 3 days they knew of this issue and continued to allow the affected shipping to be purchased. they behave like children, fingers crossed hoping it will blow over, and no-one will have noticed.

Okay thank you, I’ll wait and see if it updates for me as well

My concern is that the post office accepted the parcel, but so far, no tracking information is showing. This leaves me quite uncertain and vulnerable to claims of 'not received' and being out of pocket for a considerable amount of money.
(The post offices were sent an email from Royal Mail saying they were aware of the issue and should still accept packages, and the lady behind the counter showed me it, so I felt assured at the time to hand over the parcels)
A frustrating couple of days, considering the problem began before the bulk of weekend sales and a big postage day on Monday could have been addressed much sooner with updates or even by removing the RM48T service until this was resolved.
The irony is that until a couple of weeks ago, I predominantly used EVRI (3 years) without issue. I thought my customers might prefer the Royal Mail option, as EVRI seems to receive a rough ride. More fool me.
