Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

Hi
Yes I know this but does not solve the issue of sending combined international for items that were listed with UK simple delivery. Also, I have just bulk edited all my listings to opt out FIVE TIMES and some iyems are just reverting to Simple Delivery!!

Spot on. Every time I list some items someone will always buy more than one. I've always been able to combine postage until I suddenly couldn't. My listings say I'll always combine postage and I had a furious buyer who accused me of fraud because he had to pay twice for postage! We keep being told the changes are to 'streamline' the selling process but dealing with angry buyers and having to manually refund postage for multiple orders is ludicrous.

I did manage to send a buyer an invoice yesterday. Option came up next to the sold items. I send Royal Mail. One item sold eventually for £3.00 the other £2.00. Buyers Protection was £1.64 on combined postage. Can any one tell me did this work out cheaper for the buyer regarding Buyers Protection as the postage was combine?
I am in a pickle as some of my orders say I will combine postage, some, I will combine postage but buyer has to pay upfront and some don’t mention it. Will this sending invoice stay!!! I don’t want to keep updating as have over 100 items on and the chances are EBay will change again.

The buyer fee should stay the same on combined postage orders as the fee is charged on the sale price excluding postage
Did you manage to combine postage for the buyer and send a revised invoice,or did they pay in full then you issue a part refund?
To confuse things when you do issue a refund for part postage eBay appear to be spreading the refund over the postage and item cost which may reduce the buyer fee
clear as mud innit?

I did manage to combine the postage on the invoice. I emailed the buyer as regular of mine and very reliable. She couldn’t find the option to ask for an invoice. The postage cost the buyer £1.65 and the buyers protection was £1.64. Not necessary I think if cost is less than £10.00.
I notice the spreading out of the refund on sales and postage, this is ok for me as not having to declare to HMRC as below threshold. Where does it leave the ones who declare tax?
Nothing is clear now with EBay.

This was raised as a concern back in June 2024 - Kat posted me after last weeks 1 hour group chat, that she had reported it to 'someone' to assess it as being a concern.
Id imagine it will show as a rouge sales figure to HMRC, but im not smart in this field, but it does not look right at all , and will be magnified with all the refunding sellers are having to perform on multi item orders, which ebay have ceased combining.

I am not an accountant nor a tax expert, but I would be very surprised if HMRC expect your tax return to match Ebay's figures to the penny. My opinion, HMRC will be concentrating on there being a tax return, and the figures being in the same ballpark.

I do kinda agree partly , i know not if postage is judged as a different entity to the item sold by HMRC . More to the point i also raised months ago was that it seemed only ebay was noted as forwarding the info to HMRC , other platforms may have joined more recently , but it is only a partial picture if not all selling points are included, hence not in same ballpark for sure.
