AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Something like that would be tolerated if it was done for the right reasons which this place have lost track of.

"I was told by someone I can't mention otherwise it will removed, that letter/large letter under 100g and under £10 will be able to carry on with custom delivery, whether they are going back on that?? And it will be just letter??"
It's already the case with Simple Delivery that an item under £10/100g can be exempted from SD, but there's another restriction with regards to size as well that even ebay themselves hardly ever mention and I don't know what it is, sorry. This new announcement seems to be something new, but it doesn't make sense.

Mark one as spam and the rest will go there so it's easier to clear or check to see if you've been subscribed to any threads.

It is very likely will be the solution to this mess , it just I think this is the still born brainchild of certain members of very senior management and they don't wont to look stupid in front of their minions. The problem is the shareholders will think very differently as they have been led up the garden path my a bunch of clowns
They could even think about doing a small listing charge and a smaller % final fee.
Currently with free listing they exposed to all their angry users just filling the listing up with ridiculous lots that will never sell .

Click the back arrow until you get to seller central. Click on the down arrow scroll down to edit settings and untick the box that says subscribe if you post.

Well with it saying on the news not long ago that stockmarkets opened and are still heading down there might be some shareholders becoming rather nervous.

I'd recommend talking the couple of months trial of Youtube Premium whenever they offer it to you. Sure it's a pain remember to cancel before they charge you but it's better than getting interrupted by the ads all the time. I'm happy to pay seller fees so no need to put ads on a marketplace.

eBay should have done more research before starting SD. It is the "not so young sellers" who have been selling unwanted stuff, clutter. The younger age group probably only sell clothes.
For the age group selling clutter gathered over the years: SD with QR codes, smartphones, print labels yourself, going to post office or whatever is no option. They could have benefitted from them and be an example: now it is discrimination against older, disabled people who over the years did all they could to serve buyers as baby's.

I will only come back if they let me post how i want to and that is going into my post office and handing the parcel over the counter with no e bay involvement at all. 6 items left on at the moment and they will be off in a couple of hours.

Just a small dip ( at the moment ) compared to the 5 year chart.

Seller fees were part of what made this site great because they were very transparent. Getting rid of them was definitely the start of the downward direction.

Not a great start to the beginning of the week though and hopefully the start of a trend just for a little while so that it doesn't effect normal people to much.

the £69 was an offer, it was on a couple of weeks ago when i actually joined the site but had not decided whether to go with it! Typical. Never mind it may happen again

Hopefully if they have started getting a noticeable amount of new users they will be bound to run another if they think they can attract even more users.

What I would like to know as there does not seem to be a definitive answer to .
Fleece Bay State that you can offer free postage but seller pays ( Doh Sate the obvious) , but does that mean StD is not involved at all or that the seller automatically gets charged the Minimum of £ 2.70 ?..

From what I understand it is still involved and the buyer would still get the option of standard or express delivery.
Could be wrong though.

I just looked and the £69.99 still seems to be on but it's like 20 year old technology maybe good for certain categories or if you can drive your own footfall not ideal I guess.

Send in the clowns, there ought to be clowns, don't worry they're here! Sadly!
