AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

It's just the timescale they have given themselves to roll this out to all private sellers and to allow more time to make yet more changes.

That second message from Kat say that items on the "restricted/prohibited list"  cannot be sent by S.D.!!

and sellers can still list these items through custom postage 😲

Wow! that's the first time I've seen a definitive yes/no answer to that question......

So anybody selling anything on the restricted list is out of the S.D. crusher.... and there's a lot of things on that list 😆

at lest you get up to 100g option but looks out of date as large letter is now up to 1KG ?

? SO why when revising i had a simple delivery price of £1.55 ? (which is a RM 100g large letter?

If everything on the restricted lists will be ineligible for the SD stranglehold they’re basically just going to have to make it optional for everyone again. I can’t see this happening in reality…..but those lists are looooooong. 

Perhaps they’re banking on everything going SD anyway and then not having to pay out much compensation because we should have read the small print and somehow (how?) chosen custom postage for our inevitably excluded items. 

Its a huge mess. I’ve got a headache and I’m not even selling atm.

But... this make a mockery of the message that 'Fragile Items can be sent by S.D. provided they are packaged correctly 'etc....

Anything that could be remotely considered 'fragile' is on evri's (and RM's!) 'restricted list'.

I give up trying to understand this bin-fire 😢

Apart from the headache, not only are we in a Cost Of Living Crisis we are also in a Cost Of Ebay Crisis 😱.

They are the lists published by Royal Mail and Evri (and all the other carriers but they are not relevant here) that say which items they will not carry. 

And which items they will carry but will not pay any compensation for damage in transit.

Problem being is that Kat said i couldn't sell any aerosols, hairspray, paint, whatever because it was on the restricted list and i could NOT use custom delivery OR SD.

She then said as valuables are on the same restricted list i COULDN'T use SD but could use custom.

Next private sellers will be expected to deliver items personally. That's if they sell anything.

The idea is to make it absolutely certain that private sellers DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES sell anything.

AAAH...I think that I have noticed these from time to time but, as I don't sell guns or dynamite or similar it doesn't really apply to me!!! I did send a very expensive vase once via a courier as it was too long to fit RM's size matters thing,  & just labelled it 'Kitchen equipment' having packed it to the hilt with knock absorbing packing. So, unless they threw it from the top of a building or a 20 stone person jumped on it,  it was ok!! Got through fine.
