AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Perhaps you could let us know which post office branch it was, so we can help their staff become better educated in their own systems (or avoid that particular office).

If you're talking about "a couple of weeks ago", things with SD have changed, even in such a short period. There has been a campaign of awareness after this issue was raised in the press. It is NOT an issue now.

OK. If we have any other posters in the vicinity of these two post offices, perhaps they could pop in and see if the staff have been brought up to speed. I'm quite sure they will have, by now. Maybe some of you are already using these branches?

I don’t know if these two branches are on the large WhatsApp group for offices here in north west, if they are they do know about it!

we haven’t had any major issues at our branch. And as i have repeated here and elsewhere like you, most post offices have known about this from march and some cases before.

Yes, the poster did mention in one of his posts that he was talking about "a couple of weeks" ago, so I'm quite sure it will have been resolved by now.

I still don't like SD (even on my private) account, but, if we're going to attack it, let's at least stay factual and up-to-date with our criticisms.

Ebay have made the user id case sensitive or they have dropped all user id characters in lower case. Thats was the issue.

I was curious so looked it up!! It seems that they,  ebay,  sold it on & it has changed hands again?  Just curious!! but some rather dark info surges up from the ..er...silt.

Just a thought - seeing so much activity on this thread, would it be allowed to open a new thread to petition eBay requesting that private buyers be allowed to opt out of SD and select conventional postage when required?

Not sure if we are allowed to use the forums in this way.

We've worked out that something may have happened, most likely a misunderstanding of some kind, but, as you say yourself, it was a couple of weeks ago.

You have no idea if that is still the case now. It most probably isn't.

I can understand if it put you off, but there really is no need to try and stir things up, based on your one-sided interpretation of something that may or may not have happened "a couple of weeks ago".

I’m curious. Why do you always err on eBay’s side, and suggest that people are stirring it up? I’m more than happy for anyone to stir it up a bit, and I fully support Ron from Wigan. He is more than allowed to voice his opinion based on what he saw. You more or less called him a liar! Shame on you. 
I have no time for SD or BPF, which are both profiteering scams.
