AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I dropped my prices within a week or so of the BPF as the prices just looked odd. So even though I've taken the burden of the BPF off the buyer and dropped my prices to often less than historic sold prices, sometimes as much as 30%, buyers aren't buying. I'm at the limit with almost all my listings where I can't really go much lower.

It is a declining flailing platform that cannot come up with a new idea.  

Everything on my watch list was cheaper outside greedbay on google.  So what is the point?  The fees and postage scams are too high.

I have had a returns request today and normally ebay withhold funds when this happens ,but instead they said I need to refund the buyer within 2 days of receiving the return . If I had offered a refund instead of the return ,the buyer would have got all their buyer protection fee back too ,and if I had offered 50% they would have got 50% back ,but I opted for return even though the buyer said they were disabled and can't drive and it was going to be an inconvenience to return the item , but looking at their feed back I think they try it on to get money back and keep the item . They buy and sell alot too so simple delivery will be an inconvenience to them .

I generally ask for the item back. Rules out any possibility they're trying to scam you. Although the other week I let a guy keep a full set of snooker  (something I know little/nothing about). Apparently tournament weigh more. To be fair he went to the effort of weighing them individually and sending photos. Seemed genuine enough so I refunded £99 and let him keep them. Non-tournament  are worth 1/10th the value. Everyday is a school day. Unfortunately he didn't leave feedback to say what an understanding and efficient seller I was.

That's one of the problems here now. You shouldn't have to alter your listings because of certain decisions made here that definitely do not benefit users.

So with Fleecebay set to launch their std to us , I suppose the next logical step for them will be SP.  Yes simple packaging where items may only be packaged and sent out in official ebay stationery ..!!!

Same here, on my main account even my frequent flyers that I've relied on for years aren't selling,  and some of them are niche items or almost give away prices. I have stats on these items going back years

I have a feeling that they are being subtlety been obscured by the algorithm to make me bite at the promoted listing promo.

The amount of issues and problems that have been caused here are a nightmare. Oh its going to be so much fun to see the mess from tomorrow onwards.

That's the problem that's been caused now. Very little trust between buyers and sellers and no trust between users and this platform.

Why would any seller want to pay for promoted listings when they know there has been a big drop in people buying.

I'm back posting! Listing on another platform, much easier, am in control of what I do for the most part and looking forward to tomorrow and the potential.....
