AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Thanks for that info. I'm keeping a eye on my last few listings daily and have no plans to list anything on here until some form of sense is shown.

Some of the posts on this thread really have been great and very much appreciated.

Surely it won't be long before TV news channels pick it up that would hopefully raise eyebrows

All in my 20th year on here. At least it's made things interesting.

Oh how I wish lol.

I opened my account in 2001 and have never been so serious about leaving.
I reduced my buying activity when the Buyer Tax was introduced and have not made any purchases since the SD announcement a few days ago. It's a hard adjustment as ebay was my goto place for buying things and I was placing orders most days so it's a hard habit to break.

Be right up his street, hope he's selling stuff 😀💻

I thought someone like him would love something like this. After all he does like giving sensible information out for normal people.

I am waiting until after D for Disaster day happens before I pull my Items to see if it affects my listings as all my items bar 1 or 2 are free postage so want to see how that works out.

I was already printing labels etc through ebay so it isn't much of a change for me although I did make sure to disable Evri from my preferences, don't want to ever use that courier.
It's annoying but... it's just another annoyance on top of many introduced recently. Feels like private sellers are very unwanted now, wondering what the long term effect will be on the site.
If I'm honest I'd like to go back to 2024 before all of these changes started to happen.

It's the same for me. Being a private buyer/seller on here in my 20th year is a huge habit to break but like you although I've been unhappy with some of the changes that they've made I've never been more serious about moving to another platform.

I've just ended two items that had a bid each, with the bidder being the winner. I'm now waiting to see if I can still use RM TRACKED 48. If they change it to Unfeasibly Complicated Delivery I'll have to cancel the orders. I sell comics and a friend has put me on to Excalibur Auctions which sells collectibles. They've already emailed me back to ask to have a chat.

None of my last 4 listings have sold yet but I have even amended the listings to say ending on the 6th. If they try changing my postal choice of RM 48hr tracked then I'll have to do the same and cancel the purchase.

Currently I apply small hand written address labels to my parcels and weight them at home.
I then take them to the Post Office where it’s a simple process of them applying the relevant postage label or stamp.
Under ebays new rules:
I either have to print out large labels at MY EXPENSE (paper & printer ink) or I take them to the Post Office to scan the QR and print the label. As I usually have 3 or 4 items to post this is going to be very time consuming. It’s also going to be confusing to make sure the right label goes on the right package! Multiply this by all the people that also send eBay parcels and it is TOTALLY UNWORKABLE. The queues at the Post Office are bad enough as it is - especially since so many people have to use it for banking as hundreds of Bank branches close.
ebay are as clueless and money orientated as Donald Trump and the Muskrat.

Aren't you able to book a RM collection.
02-04-2025 1:57 PM
That'd be cool.
Only list the odd thing every now and again and only have 2 listed at the min, so going to ride it out for the time being and see how it pans out.
Can't help but wonder if its being tested out on prvt sellers to iron out the wrinkles before rolling out right across the site. Think people running a business on here might be wise to keep a close eye on it.

I don't think they will give business sellers as many take it or leave it decisions to make as they could lose to many. I think prvt sellers and buyers are the ones they think they can get away with it. I just think they have lost the plot.

Your audience will be a lot smaller I am afraid.

It might be for now but if they are trying to entice from here it could become a wise move.
