Hi, you obviously know what you are doing, good, photos, descriptions etc. I looked at
Sussex Downland And Sea Coast, Fourth Edition, 1930s Guidebook With Foldout Map, it is the only one for sale, others for different years are much more expensive and buy it now. Buy it now is probably more popular now although i can't back that up with any facts. I sell some similar era maps and magazines as BIN. It's a tough sell. I don't think BPF is a problem so much now on cheaper items, but postage prices don't help.
Try some on BIN, but niche items do take time to sell.
You are not on your own.

I would also suggest you try selling some items as buy it now. So many buyers on ebay will not now wait for an auction to end. If they see it they want to buy it now.
Also you call the buyer protection fee a tax but they have just stopped charging sellers a fee and transferred it to the buyer. If you haven't already dropped your prices you should consider doing that, in effect taking the buyer protection fee on yourself. It might also help to adjust the prices back to round figures on any new BIN listings.
I think a lot of sellers have seen a big downturn since the introduction of the BPF and simple delivery.

Selling one thing a month or so so it’s really not worth all the effort anymore for me anymore
Didn’t used to be like this
even with promoting it’s made no difference and I sell all sorts but it’s zero in the main
I shouldnt be made to feel lucky for selling something whoever’s fault that is
Unfortunately it’s similar on many other platforms
etsy Vinted etc
but it depends on what you sell and price
and if it’s wanted
At least on vinted you get lots of views and watchers
ebay seem to restrict views that’s why I think eBay is bottom of the pile

i for 1 have not purchased anything on here for around a year, people are fed up with ebay changing things all the time.
