Normally, the payment should be available to withdraw within 2 days but the item you have just sold is high value so may be subject to a payment hold:
If it is subject to a payment hold then the payment will usually be released once tracking shows as delivered.

The order page says it is processing the payment and will be available for withdrawal when complete. The item is already in the post. I hope they finish processing the payment by Friday.

And 10 hours later I am still waiting for the money to become available. Looks like I am going to have to wait until tomorrow?

Did you read @sml192 's post?
It explains that some payments for high prices items may be subject to a payment hold up to 30 days.
There's further information on eBay's payment holds here:
Hopefully your payment will be available for withdrawal soon, but bear in mind that it may be subject to a hold.

Yes, I did.
eBay eventually got round to processing the payment sometime during the night.

It's annoying, and it's a recent thing since payments used to go directly into the seller's bank account, and were available immediately. Now they go into seller's eBay account, and take days to process before being available to spend or move to seller's bank account.

Actually, this system is a bit like in the old days, when funds from sales used to stay in our PayPal account until we decided to transfer them to our bank account. That way, we could 'save up' to buy something using the funds from sales.

Pretty ironic of you to ask if the OP had read sml192s post. Did you bother to read the OPs post? The question was about payment processing, nothing to do with a hold being placed on the funds. Many eBay folk are confused by the “ funds processing” timeframe, with eBay themselves stating anything from 0-4 days. This is completely different to the “hold” placed on new sellers, which is generally lifted within a few minutes of delivery if you used postage through eBay. You see being an “eBay expert” doesn’t make your answer correct. I’m new to eBay and understood the OPs question. So why the condescending reply and completely incorrect answer?! Some experts.

My response was correct and did answer the OP's question.
It takes up 2 days for the buyer's payment to finish processing. 0-4 days is the amount of time it takes to get from eBay to the seller's bank account once withdrawn (the banks processing time)
I added the bit about a possible payment hold as it may have been relevant to that transaction, although it appears that it wasn't in the end.

Don't be rude.
Asking if somebody has read a post and quantifying why is not condescending.
@sml192 's post featured good advice.
But, in case you haven't realised, you've bumped an old question from October last year. I assume that by now the OP has been paid.

Hopefully by now! 😂
