Hi,
I've been using eBay for 24 years now and I have never had a 'Funds pending – awaiting delivery' show on any sale.
For some reason this has shown on three items I have sold over the past couple of days, when everything else I have sold over the past couple of months has been fine and payment has arrived as usual.
These are physical items, not digital, and I've been selling for 24 years, so why all of a sudden is this a thing?
thanks
Sam

Hi, I have sent a parcel 48hrs track and proof of delivery with photo 2 days ago and normally by RM in the last week, both are still saying pending. I have never had anything got missing and 100% positive feedback (when written, as not everyone gives reviews). I think if you do tracked via Ebay you will be paid quicker but otherwise it will be 14 days.

I've never used eBay postage preferring to buy and pay for postage, at my little friendly PO .
I don't use tracking either as my items are all below £20 so with a Post Office RM postage, the proof of postage has a 16 digit code , not a tracking number as such, but it does show when an item has been delivered , and it's at no extra cost.
I've entered those numbers when marking as dispatched, and when delivery was shown, my payout was released exactly 2 days after that delivery date.

same with me, i like going into my friendly post office and giving them my money, i do not want to be having to get e bay labels or be dictated to as to how and when i send my items. 99 times out of a 100 i post the first morning after buyer has paid and i just use the number on the certificate of posting as my items are normally low value. The odd time i have anything over £20 i send signed for. So far the system is working for me. Enter the tracking number, usually (1 out of 17 not marked as delivered so far) and paid 2 days later. The 1 not marked paid on day 13. Works for me. (whether i approve of the system or not)

I sent everything Royal Mail Tracked 24 now. The buyer pays more. I organise it on the RM website and the postie collects for free. Paste the tracking number into the feeBay sold item.
It arrives quicker and I get paid faster.
The new policy is utter nonsense and I cannot wait to bang out of here this Spring.

It’s so the sharks at eBay can generate interest on your funds. Interest rates are 5% on the short end so it’s worthwhile.

I’ve also been using it for 23 years. I also work in financial markets. The vultures at eBay are using your funds to generate millions in interest rates. Short rates are now 5%. It’s a new income stream for them.

Me too. I’m stopping at the end of March. In any other business some of the interest accrued would pass to the customer.

They’re creaming interest on YOUR deposits
