FUNDS HELD NEW EBAY POLICY! CLOSING ACCOUNT AFTER 19 YEARS!

Im absolutely furious! Ebay have changed their policy and are now refusing to pay monies (which belong to the buyer) until the item has been posted and received!!

I have been selling on Ebay for 19 years and this is how we are being treated?

I will NOT pack and post my valuable antiques until I have been paid! I have never heard anything so ridiculous! Can we not be trusted? Shame on you Ebay! You are the loser here! I have now cancelled all sales and 67 listings and I will find another platform to sell my antiques with someone that values me!!

I have 15 items(fdcs) finishing tomorrow listed at £5. Ebay have changed them to £5.92.i understand about the new buyer protection system but thought it came into effect from the 7th?

It's been live since febuary... its Sd that's coming in on or around the 07th

They may not bring in compulsory sd because so many people are against it! It will certainly backfire on eBay!!

Just closed my account because of 2 items breaching policy!

One had been on eBay since last October and all of a sudden it has been removed, and also one item listed yesterday because AI scanning says they are fake haha. The items were genuine and I asked for a reason , they said we have scanned the items for sale and a slight detail was flagged up to be fake, I said goodbye. 

But yes also have to wait longer for funds.

This week I had a £4.99 battery bicycle light removed by ebay for policy violation. The removal was requested by the German motor transport authority who deal with cars obviously. I appealed to ebay but they rejected the appeal saying they couldn't comment on the violation.

I've emailed the German transport authority but still waiting for a response......

Absolutely disgusting. I was thinking of perhaps putting a couple of bits on to see if the new rules were proving as bad as I thought they would be.  I won't be bothering now.

My current Ebay balance is £0.00p. All I have purchased in the last few weeks are delivery labels. My pending balance is £321.34. Some items posted nearly 2 weeks ago, including tracked. I know overseas shipments don't have tracking, which is perfect fro greedy, but it's getting ridiculous now. 2 UK tracked 48 parcels have had delivery confirmed by Royal Mail last week, but Ebay still says awaiting delivery.

I had a genuine Puma jacket on and ebay removed it said it was fake and said the owner !said it was fake .Who was the owner then ?  I knew it was genuine .Then 1 week later I had a message from ebay to say I could relist the top which threw me a bit so I went on chat and the person there said there had been a mistake and that I could re list the top . So who said it was fake .Ebay really are clueless, mess up peoples lives but don't care .

You can ask the buyers to give you feedback then ebay will release your money. Its all a joke really, just greedy people at the top of the food chain creaming off OUR interest, while sitting in their bank accounts, disgusting behaviour, then they have the cheek to say when you phone or text them, 'thanks for your loyalty ' I now tell them that I know they have to say that, but don't, ebay have no loyalty towards me as a private seller! Anyway. Ask your buyers for some feedback and hopefully that may help, and good luck 🍀
