Im absolutely furious! Ebay have changed their policy and are now refusing to pay monies (which belong to the buyer) until the item has been posted and received!!
I have been selling on Ebay for 19 years and this is how we are being treated?
I will NOT pack and post my valuable antiques until I have been paid! I have never heard anything so ridiculous! Can we not be trusted? Shame on you Ebay! You are the loser here! I have now cancelled all sales and 67 listings and I will find another platform to sell my antiques with someone that values me!!

"You must add the tracking number for each item within 24 hours, then they can see it’s been delivered."
The timing is important. Others may back me up or tell me I'm talking nonsense (please do if I am), but I'm pretty sure I picked up a defect for late dispatch by uploading tracking at a customer's request a few days after I'd actually shipped it. Now, if I forget, I message them instead - same goes for forgetting to mark things as shipped.

I don't know if you're a business or private seller but I'm a private seller and have been changing to custom postage. Weeellll a few days ago I get an ebay email detailing that as of the 15th April custom postage is no more and the only option is SD on most listing. I am gutted selling on here for around a decade and will test it but am checking out other options also.

Not an option from 14/4/25 SD compulsory.

Keep a eye on your listings because from the 7th April onwards live listings will start being altered so that SD is the option.

And live listings will start being altered from the 7th so SD is the option.

I've been a private seller/buyer on here for 20 years next month and because I don't agree with SD being compulsory so to be on the safe side I'm removing my last few live listings no later than the 6th for the foreseeable future while I look elsewhere.

I've just been reading through SD and found this quote "Simple Delivery won’t be required for items that are £10 or under and weigh 100g or below. " What I'm not sure of is does the item have to be both under weight and value or either...confusing??? Most of my items are auction so meet the price but not the weight all the time, guesse I'll have to wait and see if custom postage is still an option for these.

Thanks for reply but can you please clarify -does the item have to be both under weight and value or either?
04-04-2025 4:45 PM
It's both. Under £10 and under 100g

Thought I'd try helping too. Hope you don't mind.

Under £10 and 100g.

Your reply is more clearer.

according to the latest blurb 'that meet both of the following criteria, they weigh up to 100g and are priced up to a maximum of £10, excluding buyers fees'
04-04-2025 5:06 PM
and the £10 is excluding the BPF
04-04-2025 5:11 PM
No, 7th April is Simple Delivery, BPF started from February 4th

They have been doing it for days now obviously can't cope with what they are doing all at once, ignore times, dates, promises, nothing means anything especially from cs
