Went to drop off a parcel with an Evri label from Simple Delivery only to be told that Evri haven't been collecting any parcels from my entire Weymouth/Dorchester area for over 3 days. Tried two other drop off shops to be told the same. Does anyone know why there is this problem and why can't Ebay send you a label for Royal Mail if Evrie not working down here?

if they stop taking them its best to opt out of using evri and only use royal mail

From the opposite end of the process, I have a growing number of packages accumulating at my local EVRI depot waiting to be delivered. Until recently, when I got a notification that a package had arrived at the delivery depot, it would be delivered that same day. One has been sitting there for three days and in the last couple of days, it has been joined by others.
Giving them the benefit of doubt, I'll assume that it is a shortage of drivers but in the back of my mind, I can't help thinking that nobody wants to deliver to areas that aren't densely populated because they aren't profitable.

was alright for a week or 2 but just heard today as i dropped my evri parcels off that they had not been collected again yesterday . at the same time compared to royal mail where 2 nd class now can take 10 days or they upsell you for a tracked parcel .
i got asked so what do you do with the cost for royal mail , charge it on to the customer ?
we are at the point where it becomes silly to pay for royal mail tracked if the total sale is only worth a fiver

Downham Kent. -- My Evri parcels have not been collected from my post office since 17th October, so I can only hope they get picked up soon, so I have changed my preferences to Royal Mail or DPD only. As at least Royal Mail picks up there parcels. Feel sorry for my customers who are waiting for their orders.

I can jump on this now, in the Southend on sea area the Evri parcel shops have now got a weeks worth of parcels and all they can say is the Evri drivers are refusing to pick up parcels, I have 2 buyers who have now claimed for non delivery. No help from Evri. All completed using the simply delivery postage

Same issue in the Southampton area. Parcels often not collected for 3 or 4 days and the drop off locations are so full they are refusing to take any more parcels.

Thanks for the reply, I will be making the necessary changes. Surely eBay need to get involved with this as they are guiding you to use this service.

I'm seeing these posts and I'm becoming concerned.
I sold an item on Saturday, dropped it off and had it scanned on Sunday morning at the parcelshop, fast forward to today, and it still hasn't been collected from the parcel shop?????
Of course the payment will be withheld until it is delivered, and I'm worried that something sold for almost £70 has gone astray, it would be reassuring to know who carries the can in the case of ebay simple delivery stuff?
I've never used evri for anything before, as I have a post office at the end of my street

I am the original seller who posted about this problem.
You can choose your courier as Royal Mail ONLY as I have done and then all your listing will automatically only offer Royal Mail for delivery. Just go into the seller center and ask the question then you will be informed how to do it. It is very easy by the way with just a few clicks and you're done! Then you will be able to have all your labels from Ebay come to you Royal Mail Tracked 48 and take your packages to the Post Office at the end of your road just as before.
I hope this is helpful for you. xx
With kindest regards Ronnie (puddytat42009)
