I'm a private seller. Items I sell are between £2.90 - £10. Is It just me or will ebay's new Buyers' protection fee from the 4th Feb make it near impossible to sell competitively. A few months ago Ebay got rid of Sellers' fees for private sellers, which was a welcome move. But this new change and getting rid of multi-buy discount for private sellers will make it worse than it was with the original fees.

I know - it's laughable. Reminds be of that Harry Enfield character 'You don't want to do it like that you want to do it like this.....'

That’s the idea of this forum, yes, for sellers to share our knowledge and experience of how to operate an eBay shopfront successfully.
In your case I would look at cross promoting your minifigs with some other stuff that Lego “heads” are into, Pokemon cards, Fortnite stuff, etc. specialising too heavily into one type of item misses out on the cross promotion stuff that eBay does so well.
also hilarious that you call it an “operation” and “running an operation” as well. Is there maybe a word you’re trying to avoid using here 😂 😂 💀

Come one mate, what you’re doing is so obviously transparent. Those are public domain pictures that you’re printing out and selling as postcards. They’re not scans, why have none of them got any defects or creases or folds etc? I’m not an idiot, I can clearly see what you’re doing.

They aren’t going to miss your revenue mate. But they will be grateful for the inland revenue no longer breathing down their necks about facilitating tax evasion and benefit fraud.
even now after you’re rumbled you still call it a “collection” 😂
how many Lego scimitars does one man need 😂 😂 😂

Read the item condition description - it quite clearly states that they are reprints so yes, I am actually very transparent so thank you. They are very popular - sold 9 today (collectors love them)
All the images are scans of the print that the customer will receive
It's interesting that you pick on them when they are less than 2% of what I have listed - what insight and comments do you have on the rest of my listings?- I would welcome your business expertise given the high volume of sales you have

Fascinating that a private seller thinks he can school a business seller on how to run a business… it’s almost like… you aren’t really a private seller at all? 🕵️
but since you asked… I browsed through about 1,000 of your 11K!!! Listed items. And every single one is the digital original of a public domain photograph with your watermark on it, which you print on demand (hopefully without your watermark 😂)
don’t pretend you actually sat there and scanned in 11,000 postcards on a flatbed scanner…
could you provide an example of any physical item you have for sale?

Incorrect - all the re-prints are scans of the actual printed image that then customer will receive - check the great feedback that i get
I don't have 1000 reprints listed btw
I don't use a flatbed scanner - I have a duplex scanner with a document feeder - it's great!

Ok cool, I’ll believe that you actually took the time to print everything out and then scan it.
but you said that’s 2% of what you sell. From where I’m sitting it’s 100%.
what’s the rest? Postcards you bought from charity shops or estate sales? I’d respect that hustle if I saw any evidence of it whatsoever. Every single one your images is dead centre, perfectly cropped, razor sharp 90 degree corners etc.
I can’t see a single postcard you have for sale that’s any older than the milk in my fridge. Could you link even one example?

I'm not sure that this is the best platform for insulting people and trying to denigrate them.
Have you tried Twiiter?

Another “private” seller with thousands of items sold enters the chat 😂
you can’t make this stuff up.

Go to my shop - they are all there - all 11,000 of them

I've got 21 active listings and most of them have been up since God was young.

It's just a game of Whac-a-Mole, I'm quite enjoying it actually. As I no longer have any purchases to receive/sort and sales to post out it fills the time. It will all have to come to an end shortly as I'm now only a week away from receiving the funds for my final 2 sales on EBay. sold 7th Feb, and yes I did get positive feedback but that new software will not be functioning until March so still 14 days of waiting.

Mate we can all see your feedbacks 😂

Tolkien's versions were all big and dumb.

Good, aren't they?

I'm not sure you get the idea about being a collector. Collectors have always bought and sold to build their collections - back in the day you did it through small ads in specialist magazines, local paper etc, but that doesn't make it a business, just a hobby, it's how you do it. It's nothing new.
