Sorry to shout but I'm just so incensed that our right has been snatched away without giving any reason. It just doesn't make sense. a huge inconvenience especially when buyers purchase more than one item.
Does anyone have inside knowledge as to their justification?

Does not fit with the new buyer fee and special delivery i presume. They don't want combined invoices as then buyer won't pay 75p for every single item. Lots of lies and excuses from customer service. They all say it's being looked into which is so funny seeing it's been a month now

There have been several reasons given by customer services - glitch, incompatible and that it has been disabled.
CS are notorious for their bs/lies as trained by ebay to handle calls telling callers what they want to hear or just flat out lie to get them off the phone.
The reason I favour, from the selection of lies, is because it has been disabled because it couldn't handle the Buyer Protection Fee change.

I favour that one as well, because it *also* came from an ebay representative on twitter. Not from the inventive and imaginative CS!

I think its the most likely reason, there wasn't actually anything wrong with the combined invoice system, greedbay just turned it off.
As if that wasn't bad enough they then coached CS to spin all kinds of lies to concerned sellers who rang, despicable but expected.
The sad thing is, there are still sellers trying to reach out to marco on the other thread, asking for it to be 'fixed'.

I don't go after other posters here but rightfully call ebay out on their greed, never had any problems so far but will see. Will probably test out any new forum rules first hand as not trawling through loads of terms and conditions.
Actually today they made me a 'Specialist'! Not sure what it means but I'm definitely a specialist in posting about ebay's greed so maybe its quite accurate!

Interesting i have just seen a Vinted advert clearly explaining the buyer fee , on Sky TV. No surprises or secrets there then

I suspect it may have something to do with the forthcoming 'simple delivery'.
At any rate, took some 40 messages to sort out a sale with an international buyer who had made a number of offers, three of the items showed as awaiting payment but more were still showing as for sale - and in the middle of trying to sort it out one of the items that he had offered on and I had accepted was bought by another buyer. I'm shocked that we eventually got sorted, and if this is the new norm it will be the straw that breaks the camel's back!
At the same time one person gave up trying to buy without having to pay - I don't have immediate payment ticked - so that he could buy more, and a third buyer with 4 items in his basket abandoned altogether!

What an ordeal you've been through! I'm of the opinion it's probably to do with the new buyer protection, but as all parties are aware of this I cannot see why their techies can't work a fix to enable invoices.
