Would there be a way to recoved the simple delivery label cost (using free delivery so seller pays) by requesting a refund on the label and declare it not used? (and then use parcelforce as I intended)
Ive read somewhere on ebay that if we do not use the prepaid label, we will need to purchase your own label at your own cost.

Don't think they care about private sellers on Ebay now, I sell the odd thing now and again but mostly buy things. I don't want anything to do with their new simple postage and have never got a QR code to work for anything. I like to use the post office to get the weight correct and know what I'm getting.
I hope I can still buy on here and it isn't hitting everyone in their pocket as prices will go up.

I thought I'd try editing one of my listings to use SD. It recommended 2kg but it will weigh far more than that so I selected 15kg and it told me the buyer will pay rates starting from £10.55

Here are the simple delivery rates:

So in that table a 2kg small parcel that would normally be £3.45 for Tracked48 they are going to charge my buyers (if there are any left) at least £4.27 if I have Evri switched off??
So similar to the Buyer Tax am I supposed to reduce my item prices another £1 to make them attractive again??
If so this is pushing me beyond my limit of tolerance. Ebay are getting way too greedy.

In theory, yes, but it seems small parcel size is currently disabled (from other posts) and that right now it would cost them around a tenner instead, medium parcel sizing.
But keep in mind if you deselect Evri the only thing you guarantee is that your buyer pays the highest tariff rate. eBay can still use their backdoor and override you and use Evri anyway.
I'm surprised nobody else has cottoned on to the Evri only choice.
It's an impossibility within the UK because they don't have full coverage. Best of my knowledge they don't have any coverage in the Isle of Wight as an example.
That alone should have been a big red flag for the rest of it.
They are playing sneaky games and laying traps.

Yes, after reducing our prices because of BPF, we may need to reduce our prices again because ebay will increase our prices by charging more through simple delivery for postage.

I'm really not up for taking things to my local Evri drop-off its so inconvenient for me to get to. Around here going to the Post Office is so much more convenient.
I hate this Stupid Delivery twice as much as the Buyer Tax. I'm going to reduce my ebay activity massively.

Is Packlink involved with post April 15th Simple Delivery ??

Thanks for doing that. What are the rates for express please? I have tried to exclude Evri so the £10.55 when I edit the listing makes sense but where did £8.79 for standard delivery and £10.81 for express on the listing come from?!! This is so confusing!

From the two postage carriers - royal mail and evri - one is 'standard' and one is 'express' but as far as I know ebay haven't made clear which is which.
I purchased something recently that was listed with simple delivery and I chose 'standard' delivery (even on the listing page it does not say who it is, just 'standard' or 'express'). It wasn't until the seller uploaded the tracking that I found out who they had sent my item with, it was evri and I had selected standard delivery. Not sure it's always that way round though.

This will probably be an issue as several of my items that were exactly the same weight and size ended up having wildly different postage rates when they were mysteriously shifted over to SD

I understand that Vinted includes bundling of items - if ebay can do something similar then I may be able to make it work but there's been no mention of this yet to my knowledge

Someone confirmed they purchased multiple items from a single listing and the simple delivery postage cost was lowered for the additional item, but not by as much as a seller would.

From a single listing or a single seller?

Sorry, I really don’t know, maybe someone else can help
theres always a way around things though, just have to figure them out

Multiple items from a single listing from the same seller.

I thought Royal mail would not do heavy, only Parcel Force, I can't see my post lady lifting 20 kg off my doorstep. I usually use UPS or PF for stuff over 20kg, which does not appear to be on the list

My reply was meant for general multiple items not heavy items.
Apparently items 20kg+ are not eligible for simple delivery so a seller can arrange their own.
