Hi, to get around the error of not being able to list with custom postage, this week I have listed with SD, then of course I have to "get label" to get buyers address, but not then used it.
I was thinking that it will eventually be refunded, to me as I'm using "seller pays" but then this morning I noticed this in the FAQ below -
What if I don't want to use the prepaid label?

OK this is the work round that an e-bay rep gave to me this week for a parcel 65cm
list it as 60cm, get your prepaid label and the address of the customer. Don't use the label, just take the parcel to the PO or wherever, pay the correct shipping and claim the prepaid label back here

I doubt even Rachel Reeves could think of a more ar"se about face of doing things
See my post #22 for criteria, there are a couple, i.e. seller needs to put free postage else the buyer gets the refund and there must be a tracking number.

yea , just put free postage then add it to the sale price, as for tracking thats easy but changing the tracking. number on the site is not.
It almost as if ebay dont want you to sell anything anymore especially over 60cm

30 days is a shockingly long time. eBay themselves have a 5 day dispatch deadline & Royal Mail only accept labels into the system within a 7 day period so this is just money grabbing by eBay when they can easily check tracking codes & buyer feedback.
I'm 18 days into a waiting for a £5.15 label I never used. Half the price the item sold for!
Simple delivery is an absolute scam.

CS instructed me to to do exactly what i said
Print the label to get the address but dont use the label. Send via tracked 1st class Royal mail and pay for it then claim the pre printed label back.
Its worked once and i have the email transcript of the instructions from CS on my PC.
She called it a work around if i didnt want to use Evri. and my parcel was outside the range of CD...

No I won't. Have tried it 17 times when I have paid postage as a seller and received nothing. Information is false and no-one has received any refund. There is no point in repeating false information
It's not false information.
Other sellers are receiving refunds, I tried this and it worked for me on a private account so I don't know why you're the exception.
Did you add the new tracking number to the order?

Not the only 'exception'.
I had a customer order three items at the start of June, only one of which was SD (Seller pays). I didn't use that label since it was for a large letter when I needed a small parcel label to send all three together. I subsequently amended the tracking for the SD item and made a claim a day or two later via a form which included a number of annoying, irrelevant questions. I've heard nothing since and still no refund.

Done everything several times. Alternative tracking references and everything else. I think you are the only person to receive a refund. Nobody else I know has.
I can't believe there would be so many complaints about the new crass sd system if it was just one or two who didn't get refund. eBay would be better if they reverted back to charging the sellers rather than using this underhand way.

That's really poor. Have you asked eBay CS what the hold up is? I doubt they'll know too much about the new system but they should be able to at least check why your refund hasn't progressed.

Thanks, I just now tried sending an email to customer services.

Try them in the morning.
I’ve found that the easiest route to contact eBay Customer Services is via the link below where you can request a call back:

I am sure that vyolla is very helpful as indeed are all the other mentors and ebay agents. I have nothing but positive things to say about them in the past with any problems. However, the big bugbear is with this new crass Simple Delivery as hundreds of people have experienced. The problem is that everyone I have communicated with apart from your friend vyolla has had problems. If any mentor or agent does feel so positive then perhaps they would like to refund us all the costs due rather than constantly referring us to a link which does not action any claims. I have all the paperwork with proof of alternative postage used so if you would like to refund me the £60 I will happily accept.

On the order details for the item you have sold you can highlight Print invoice and it will show you the buyers address so you don't have to purchase label

so it does, thanks for that 🙂
