Has anyone else noticed lack of sales since the buyer protection update 4th february 2025. I used to sell quite a lot and virtually sold nothing since 4th Feb. Can anyone else relate to this and what can we do?

It’s just not buyer-friendly any more. I bought a hotwheels car last week for a few pounds. The list showed one price, then during purchase a different price plus a BPF, then at final stage, yet another price with a percentage of VAT. The final amount i paid was not what the original list said though. Crazy. I wish i’d kept all the screen grabs of that process to share. If it’s that messy for a toy car, what must it be like for more valuable items? No wonder buyers have walked.
I only sell occasionally, zero at the moment, and my last sales were losses.
it was so simple back in 1998 when i started. We even made friends around the world that we still keep in touch with.
Hey Ho. Onwards and downwards.

Hello … I see you have sold 30+ items in past month. There are several of us wishing we had a fraction of that figure.

Yes, my sales have dropped from 5-10 a day to 1-2 a day, even though I've been forced to lower prices to include the BPF. Not game-breaking for me as it's not a business and I'm simply clearing storage boxes out, but annoying nonetheless as it's reduced the amount of pocket money I then get to spend on eBay.

There is definitely a drop in "active" sellers at the moment too...have just looked a few items up on ebay (all different sellers) and am getting "the seller is currently away" notification at the top of the page.
The whole site seems to be grinding to a halt.

Everything appears to be run by total "nanas" at the moment...the government,,the police force, nhs, ebay, premier league...the incompetence really is quite worrying.
