Has anyone else noticed lack of sales since the buyer protection update 4th february 2025. I used to sell quite a lot and virtually sold nothing since 4th Feb. Can anyone else relate to this and what can we do?

simple delivery is only items up £750 and also simple delivery is not available for international items. some my items cost a fortune to pay uk and ive got items over £750 in value whihc don't quaify for simple delivery. one such item of £1,250 value that I had to take off ebay was going to cost £65 uk to uk, £165 usa/can/£295 Australia due to the large size of box and weight as well pushes cost costs sky higher especially on very high value items. i don't have that kind of money available to pay a courier. somebody else was complaining on ebay complaints facebook page about it today that she has no money to pay the courier & ebay are boldling all funds. as said i'ts only on items up to royal mails medium parcel size under £750. i can't get a straight forward answer from ebay as to why they don't offer couriers lie parcelfroce who deal with larger sized items over £750 to as much as £2.500. a lot of my buyers have been from abroad and like I said there is no simple delivery for abroad and it's to costly to post some of my other items, so i've had to list them n other platfroms taking paypal payment in which anyone can send you the full amount including all postage costs, you just send one amount of money and your protected as a buyer or seller through paypal the same as ebay, except there it's free no stupid buyer's fee's, only sellers pay a small amount in fees through paypal payment alone and it was never as high as ebay sellers fees used to be.

yes ive definitely noticed a big drop off though a slight recovery in last 2 weeks to still only about half the level i had in january. but even worse the new so called simple delivery is just a nonsense to me who has always and wants to continue to use royal mail core options and no qr codes or printing labels it is likely to stop me using ebay altogether and very soon if i can find no way round it

yes a total scam. any responsible seller and most of us are would just give a refund anyway if there is a problem. ebay are behaving like a certain american gentleman....

I sell to raise money for charity. 100% of the proceeds go to the charity. I am not a business.

I've been watching so many posts regarding the drop in sales over the past few years, and only now am i commenting because as a business it's completely died for me. I manufacture and sell bandsaw blades and up until 5 years ago, we was selling hundreds and close to thousands a month on two different ebay accounts, and roughly around 2022 we was only seeing a few hundred orders both accounts combined and come 2023/24 we was down to about roughly 50 a month and as of 2025 it's dead. We rarely get orders and i think what completely wiped us out, is ebays new policy on bladed goods, in which you can only use age verified postal services and the buyer has to age verify and from what i was told by an old customer, the only way a buyer can "age verify" is by using/ giving their credit card details! i had an elderly chap contact me the other day, to say he couldn't purchase and he didn't have a credit card to verify his age and i helped him as best as possible to no avail. So now i'm no longer getting orders on either of my two accounts. eBay has really gone too far with all the changes they've made. I'm looking to open an account on another platform soon, as it's no longer sustainable and especially at the cost of £35 a month per account for the shop and that i use promoted at the suggested percentage, with some being up there around the 20 to 30%! and some i've seen a lot higher and i'm still getting no sales. Hopefully everyone manages to find there way.
