Buyer sent item to a shop that is permantly closed

I sent the item to a shop address given by the buyer with an eCP number on it. I checked the tracking and it says action needed and that the courier has had an issue getting to the delivery address. I google mapped the store and it says permantly closed.
What should I do?

Thanks for any advice

Did you put a return address on the parcel if you did it will eventually be returned to you if it can't be delivered . but it will be a while

If you bought your label through eBay you will have to deal with evri through packlink as I doubt they'd deal with you directly.

Try contacting packlink and ask them to get evri return the parcel to you.

Here's a link to packlinks help page. Use the delivery section to start the request or try the chat function if it's active.

You may be lucky and get the parcel back but if you do you should refund the buyer.

Always be sure to put a return address on all parcels so that if there is a problem with delivery ,the parcel will be returned to sender .

What kind of buyer puts a dummy address on

When a buyer chooses click-and-collect, a list of collection points comes up at checkout. The buyer can then select the most convenient one. The list is generated by ebay – it is not the buyer who creates the delivery address. In this case, it sounds like ebay hasn't removed the closed-down store from their list of options.

Was this a "Simple" Delivery label; i.e. eBay sent you an Evri shipping label that the buyer - and not yourself - had paid for?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Hi styth2006, thanks for your post.

I am presuming this is a click & collect order, is that correct? If so, then what you need to do here is checking your tracking and contact the carrier if needed. However, if the shop is closed, the carrier wouldn't be able to deliver the item, and should eventually return it to you. If that happens, you can then refund the item once you have it back. If you let me know the item number, I can take a further look if you wish, and flag the fact that the shop is also closed, if the shop closed down, it shouldn't be given as an option for click & collect.

Thank you,

Marco
