Hi, I sold an item which was an interactive toy. It's a few years old but not been used much. I thought I had checked it before posting but buyer says it doesn't do one thing its supposed to. I don't think in able to ask them to send a video so I'm just debating whether to ask for them to return item, or whether to just refund it as return postage will be more than what I sold the item for. The buyer is a reseller going by their profile so I'm hoping they are genuine about fault. I'm wondering whether to just ask for the item to be returned anyway before I refund it just so I can check it even though I will have to pay the extra postage. Does anyone have an opinion please?

I think you are likely to get advice both ways and it's really up to you.
Sounds to me like it was cheap and possibly faulty. I would just refund.

If it is the toy you sold for £2, it is not worth the return as the postage will cost more. I would refund the buyer and put it down to experience.
