Buyer requests cancellation then says wants item

Hi there, I'm a very very new small time seller on ebay.

I had a buyer buy an item from me. He then made a cancellation request and immediately after message saying that, he still wants the item.

A message back to confirmed, whether he did or did not want the item and he said he still would like it.

The cancellation request says something along the lines "item is not eligible for relisting"

Should I just deny the cancellation request and ship the item? I'm worried this my be scam like behaviour

If it's the body lotion, that is not a scam target and as long as the transaction is not cancelled you still have ebay selller protection.   I would think it's OK to refuse the cancellation and send the item.

If they requested a cancellation, but then changed your mind (and you have evidence of this) I can't see an issue with just rejected the cancellation and shipping.

We've done so before.
