If it's human error it's better. Solutions can be found.
Simple Delivery supposedly has an AI system involved and that will be a lot harder to deal with.

It isn’t human error in my case. I have just been notified in the past hour that I have sold a book. On the “send item” page it has ParcelForceExpress 48 at £13.63 (more than the price of the book!) as selected by buyer. I have NEVER used ParcelForce.
Pause for total panic ….
When I go into “orders” , it is - fortunately - showing Royal Mail 48 tracked which is what I use and what I listed.
So the problem is a bot in EBay, not an error by me or zebra_park.
Sellers beware!

Hi See my message above (identified as message 17) which I meant to put here at the end. I don’t think anybody (whether seller or buyer) is making the choice of the Parcel ForceExpress option. I agree with you that going into the Royal Mail site itself is straightforward. I have done this with eBay sales but more frequently with Etsy ones

That's definitely worth keeping an eye on. They may be trying to implement Simple Delivery and it may be glitching.
From the start they inferred an AI bot would be involved in the choices available to/for both parties. & what you are describing could definitely be that.
